Nice hotel right on the mosel cycle path. Nice rooms, good breakfast and friendly staff. The restaurant looked great with a wide selection of wines but unfortunately it was closed on the day we stayed.

Lucky to find Hotel Maimuehle after two others turned us away with no rooms. Spacious room, comfortable bed and after a long day of trains and buses the shower was a delight. Staff was very friendly and bilingual, which made up for my poor German. Breakfast was sumptuous, with soft boiled eggs, a huge plate of various meats and cheeses, a basket of mixed bread, juice and of course coffee. We were the only guests and were glad we were there.

I really wanted to like this place. Situated just inside the German side of the French / German border, the hotel is very clean and modern. However, anticipation of a great traditional German dinner was quickly quashed. My Gulash was as dry as a bone, and my partner's Schnitzel was the tourist version of those served to locals on a table close by! Service was also poor. Meal took ages to arrive and the bill payment was long and drawn out! It's not just about how a place looks!

Was looking for a quick take away and walked out with possibly one of the best vegetarian burger I’ve ever tried! Also staff was very nice! We’ll be back!

We had a newly renovated room with a large balcony, kitchenette, and a very modern bathroom - all spotlessly clean. …

In a word: meh. The location is great - hard by the train station and right at the start of the Moselsteig. However, the reception wasn't great - had to wander into a busy restaurant to find someone to get a key - and then it turned out I couldn't get a table at the restaurant even though I was staying there, so ate some boring sausages at their other restaurant, more like a tasting room snack bar, really. The room was not particularly comfortable; it felt like staying in a youth hostel. Breakfast was okay, but in a dimly lit room with so-so coffee. On the plus side, staff were reasonably friendly and it was fairly priced, but... meh.

Right on the Mosel cycle path, comfortable and very bike friendly. Bistro food was top class plus good wine and beer. The owner speaks good English and everyone was very friendly. Makes a very good overnight rest stop.
