Stay away from this place if you want to be treated with respect. My parents have stayed in the hotel and had a great time. Since it was our anniversary, my wife and I decided to go for dinner there with our two chihuahua dogs. I asked the head waiter if we could bring our dogs in as it was raining outside. He told us that they were always happy to host dogs. He seemed like a friendly guy. However, once we had ordered and had our drinks, his attitude changed 180 degrees. He started barking that the dogs should be on the floor. When I tried to explain that they would start walking around, he told us that either the dogs should be on the floor or we should go. I said, fine, we're going. He then became very rude and told us that we had to pay. I wasn't going to pay anything if we weren't able to eat it. When I stood up and grabbed my jacket, he started shoving me, shouting that "I would die" if I wouldn't pay. I made a police report and advise anyone to stay far away from this place.

We went there to have lunch. We had a snitzel which was really nice. However the trout from the local river didn't feel authentic. Also it came with four slices of potatoes which was not enough as an accompaniment. I would have liked a little bit more side to go with the main meal. Also the service was less then I expected for an establishment like this. And the price was quite High too.

I will recommend this restaurant to anybody visiting Saarburg. It feels like a hidden gem. Right from the moment we entered with our 2 y.o., we felt so welcome. The serving staff went out of their way to accommodate us and they were amazing with our son. The food was also very good. I had an amazing chicken curry. All in all a great dining experience. Thank you!

Restaurant only: Never in my life have I ever been spoken AT in a more rude way! Food looked average. Will never spend a eurocent there. Neighbours much friendlier and food there is great.

We stopped here for lunch today and our meals were delicious! Inside and outside seating, and both have beautiful ambiance. Location is perfect and right in the city center near the top of the waterfall. Highly recommend! Card and cash accepted.

Food was horrible, oil for deepfryer wasn't changed in ages. There was no mayonaise at all and we were seated at a temporary table to be granted a table inside once available. Only to find out this wasn't a temporary table but a permanent one, nothing was mentioned at all.Besides from that service was friendly but that doesn't make up for the poor food.

Had a wonderful meal here sitting next to the river, which was one of the highlights of our trip to Saarburg. The younger staff spoke good English and the owner was very good-humoured, joking with us even though we couldn't speak each others language. The portions were huge and all very tasty - we had schitzel, pizza and carbonara, followed by some delicious Italian desserts. We turned up without booking and found it easy to get a table (at around 8pm).

Decent service and food. Not very welcoming. But probably one of the better places in Saarburg for food and accommodation. not much to offer. For me it was a bit depressing. Rooms were ok but extremely warm and noise were hears from the street, high music and bass. Rooms didn’t have ac which I guess is ok for Germany but the fan sounded horrible, no hotel reception either. It was the restaurant bar.
