I gave the location four stars, as it is in a quiet street, but not quite in the city centre. a walk of ten minutes gets you to the railway station, slap in the centre of town. The quieter location does, however, make parking easier! The rooms vary quite a lot, depending on the class booked, but all are clean and more than adequate. The staff are lovely, and nothing is a trouble. The hotel has both a swimming pool, which is usually pleasantly quiet, and a sauna, steam room, and relaxation room in which guests can chill after their sauna! There is also an outdoor, semi-covered relaxation room, which could perhaps do with a coat of paint before springtime! The relaxed ambience, friendly staff, pool and wellness area, plus the almost-central, but quiet location make this my hotel of choice in Saarbrucken.

This hotel is okay if you’re not depending on public transportation or are a business traveler. The lobby is beautiful, and the rooms are comfortable but not very modern. If you have a lot of luggage or are in a wheelchair, this might not be the right hotel for you. While there are elevators, there are still steps to overcome when entering the hotel and when going to at least some of the rooms. I had two pieces of luggage and was not happy with that.My main critique point however is the gym. I specifically booked this hotel because they claim they have a gym. There is a fitness room, but there is no treadmill which I consider standard equipment. The elliptical is a squeaky, wobbly piece that I would consider a safety hazard and shouldn’t be there. The hotel has a pool and wellness area which looks nice. However, the pool opens at 8am and if you’re a business traveler like me, I simply didn’t have the time to take a swim that late. Overall, this was a disappointing hotel stay.

Decent enough stay and a nice swimming pool for unwinding after a day of being a tourist. The breakfast is more than excellent. The only complaint is the somewhat lacklustre attitude of the front desk personnel. I usually do not like cockroach in my room, but when I made a point of that, it was made clear to me these insects fly in from the trees. Fair enough. So, if you don't mind that, this is your hotel.

Very wonderful hotel! I stayed here with some friends a few weeks ago. Very beautiful and semi close to the city. It is a little bit of a walk but there are lots of bikes and scooters in the area. I only give it 4 stars because the pool closed semi early. Wonderful!

A terrible place, I would not recommend to anyone. Basic rooms, way to hot with no aircon or fans. Pillows were few and useless.|Worst of all the hotel service is terrible. Rude and unhelpful. Breakfast was particular rude and unprofessional. Reception was not any better.|Avoid.

We've spent two nights here and everything was ok. The room was very spacious and relatively clean. Minimal dust here and there. The building itself it's pretty old but it's well taken care of. I've enjoyed the spa area very much. …

Our stay was very sad, which was only made worse by the unhelpful staff at reception. The rooms were very dimly lit, washroom was tiny and the shower didnt work properly, it was too old. I almost slipped twice while getting out of the bath. very little counter space on the sink.||

Couple around 40y from Luxembourg. One night in a suite. Room was spacious and nicely designed, bathroom (shower/bathtub) a bit small. A safe and a tabs coffee machine instead of instant coffee would be great. Beds were good for us (hard) and you can choose a pillow at reception. Nice is the affordable mini bar concept but not enough variety. View over train rails from our balcony, at night it’s romantic with the lights but daytime not such a pleasure. Location is god, free parking around the hotel and not too far from Center. The Spa (massages and treatments) is closed on Sundays (and apparently Mondays), that was weird. Saturday when we arrived at 4pm it was also already closed. What a pity. Wellness area is a bit old small but overall nice and it wasn’t too crowded. Sauna was very hot, steam room we couldn’t find.Didn’t eat so can’t access the restaurant/breakfast. Wanted to have a late breakfast / snack at noon after checkout but restaurant opens at 5pm. Room service not really featured, no menu card in the room but got quickly some tasty wine when ordered at the reception.Hotel is a bit aged but overall price for value is good. For a city trip I would recommend but if you want to enjoy yourself and have a relaxed wellness there are probably better options. I won’ return because we didn’t feel appreciated by the staff at arrival day, maybe they had a tough day or we were not nice guests ;) During the checkout all was fine though.

The hotel was much nicer than what I was expecting except for the surly waiter at dinner. I got a very nice welcome at reception by Miss Stein on arrival. The room was nice overlooking the garden with a comfortable bed but I could hardly squeeze past the toilet into the tight-fitted shower.I went to the indoor pool which was about 15 metres long and quite wide and had a very nice swim. There were sunbeds next to the pool and there was a sauna with showers nearby. The fitness room was tiny and under-equipped so I didn't bother using it.I had dinner in the hotel and the food was fine but the service wasn't. It would be nice if the waiter could be a little bit more friendly instead of seeming like he's just waiting it out until he can retire.
