My wife, young baby and I tried to get some dinner here this evening and we had a terrible experience. We were initially greeted by a nice young man who asked us where we would like to sit, we said outside and as it was very quiet he said sit wherever you'd like. It was a warm evening but had recently rained so most of the seats were soaked so we chose dry seats located under a tree so our daughter would have some shelter if it did rain again. The next thing we know, we are being shouted at by a small angry German man in a black T-shirt intimating for us to move to a different table so he could seat a group of 4 people, the table would seat 12 and the other group (who arrived after us) kindly said they had no problem sharing table, however, the small older German man started flipping out and aggressively moving tables and ranted about "English" , which were aren't so we had enough and I told him he was a horrible little angry man and we left. It created a horrible atmosphere and the other diners were left feeling very awkward. There was zero context whatsoever when he approached us, just went full nuclear at a young family when it all could have been solved with some simple courtesy. Seems he doesn't like non-German speaking people and has a chip on his shoulder.Shame on you, you rude little man!

Very accommodating hosts and superb accommodations. Very comfortable bed and after a day on the Moselsteig, the shower was excellent. We received a bottle of mineral water and a bottle of the house wine with our room. Breakfast was everything a German gastehaus breakfast should be. Thank you, Family Boesen, for a wonderful stay.

I can give only 1 star because we have been waiting for the food for an hour and other people who came after us were served without problems. Although we agreed to leave politely and pay the whole bill the person in charge had a very angry reaction, she even walked out of the kitchen with a knife to see what’s happening. One of my friends got really scared when she saw her coming at us so angry. We didn’t get any explanation for the late service only at our table. Not a pleasant experience and I recommend avoiding this restaurant because it’s not a pleasant place to enjoy a dinner.

The food and wine were really great. If you can get over the grumpy old woman it’s worth a visit.

Although a group of 100 people, excellent service, very good cuisine, wine is local so you either like it or you don't.

We go there several times. Food is, as always, very good. The owner is always available for anything and is very solution-oriented when there are problems. His wine is good and the winemaker always comes to the table and presents a new wine to try. The owner is warm and you just have to know the way he conducts himself. We love going there to eat and enjoy his wines!

On my hike along the Moselsteig I stopped at the Boesen family's winery guesthouse in Palzem in the evening on October 14th, 2024. I spent a quiet and relaxing night in a nice and clean room.At breakfast the next morning I felt “like God in France” and was completely strengthened for my next stage on the Moselsteig from Palzem to Konz.Thank you very much, dear Boesen family!

At least I liked the wine from the guesthouse Weingut Alois Bösen in Palzem. Was a dry Elfling. Which I drank a few glasses of cestern. A visit to the guest house and the winery will soon be on my program. Maybe even soon on a Moselle tour. And Palzem is only a stone's throw away. Then I will also try the other wines from the winery.
