Hospitality tip top :) clean, quiet, calm, comfortable bed, very slow style, rustic and relaxing. I loved it. Breakfast delicious, it was a relaxing stop to come back to after my intensive vicinity trip. If i had to comment on anything I'd want a garbage bin in the room but maybe it would destroy the design concept of the place :) if i ever visit again I'd choose the same place.

This hotel has a charming setting in the center of Arnstadt. Cafes, market place, churches, restaurants and shops are only stone's throw away. The hotel has clearly been restored with great loving care, with a careful eye for both it's long history and also the comfort of today's guests. The staff clearly have their hearts and souls invested and we were treated as part of a family. One must plan a longer stay here because not only are there a number of cozy corners to make use of for reading and thinking but Arnstadt and it's lovely surroundings merit investigation.

Staying at the Hotel Stadthaus Arnstadt is a truly unique, unforgettable experience. The owners have restored this hotel in a tasteful, lovely way thus incorparating it seemlessly into the feel of this charming town. My friends and I were served wonderful food here, made in-house, using ingredients from local farms. Breakfast included delicious bread from a local bakery as well as delectable homemade jam! The hosts were attentive to our every need and they, along with the staff, were incredibly gracious and hospitable.Each room is unique; great attention has been made in keeping the original beauty of this historical bulilding. As an example, gorgeous old woodwork has been retained maintaining an authentic feel. The updates have been lovingly done. I was so rejuvenated after my stay there. This is a must-visit place -- a real gem!

This historically-inspired hotel is a fantastic place to stay, and a must for Bach afficionados! It is located on a quiet courtyard, across from the Gothic Oberkirche and around the corner from the church where Bach had his first job, at age 18.The owners, Jan Köbel and Judith Rüber, have done a beautiful restoration of 16th-century buildings, and offer gracious hospitality and very comfortable rooms. We very much enjoyed our stay during the Bachsommer festival in August, but could imagine being happy there at any time of the year!
