The woman is so nice and does her job very well, you can't complain about anything, the food is very tasty and the view is also fantastic. However, there are some who don't see it that way, which I don't understand. The woman who served us is the nicest woman I have met.

Great place. We spent one night there on our bike trip, accommodation was great, dinner and breakfast were rustic, simple and delicious, the two hosts were incredibly friendly. They told us a lot about the bridge that used to be there and their life in the GDR, very interesting. If you are looking for a small, quiet accommodation at the (scenic) end of the world, you will find it here.

We stayed at the Pension Vorwerk Altenroth over New Year's Eve 23/24. We received a really friendly welcome, the rooms are small, but very clean and good. The guesthouse is in a great location, you can go hiking, cycling and in the summer there is a ferry dock right there.The owners Heidi and Rolf are total people with their hearts. They do everything with a lot of love and the food (home cooking) is delicious.So we'll definitely be back.Thank you for the great days we were able to spend with you.

Completely overwhelmed, after 20 minutes and after a regular guest made us drinks, we were told carelessly that there was no more food today. Very disappointing.

Service is 0. The owner couple is totally overwhelmed. The man behind the counter can't pour a single beer (the foam is skimmed off with a spoon) and everything is stale. The food was ok, but we waited over an hour for it. Overall, you get the impression that the owners are simply overwhelmed.Ambience is great, everything is new, tidy and well maintained.

We came across Vorwerk Altenroth more or less by chance. We were initially skeptical due to the mixed Google reviews. However, we liked the particularly beautiful location and the quiet, familiar atmosphere so much that we came back a second time a few days later. Both times we received friendly service. Even if not every move is perfect and pouring beer (mentioned in the other reviews) is a challenge or two, a lot can be overcome with a smile and a friendly appearance. We felt absolutely comfortable at all times. On both visits, a vegetarian dish was created upon request. We didn't have to wait long until the food was ready. We'll definitely be back 👍

We were registered there as a group. Nevertheless, we had to wait almost an hour for the food. The meal itself was a tablespoonful of potato salad with a mini bratwurst - a disgrace for 6 euros!
