We would like to thank the entire staff for their kindness. We are from Saxony and, since we all live in the Altdorf area, we held our little family celebration. Overnight stays are also recommended. Thank you again and see you again soon. The Neumann family from Reinsdorf/Saxony

Since there was a folk festival, we couldn't park at the front of the property again and so we parked the car in the back yard. Unfortunately, we were spared the information that it was not possible to park at the property. Luckily for us, we have an acquaintance in Winkelhaid who showed us the way to the backyard, which was obviously also for the guests (at least according to the sign) and without him we couldn't be found because there was no or hardly any signage.When we arrived we were greeted snidely, as if we weren't allowed to park there as guests.The room was very large and on the 3rd floor. Maybe you should do something here and there. There were cobwebs in every corner of the room, so definitely bring a feather duster! It's best to add a vacuum cleaner, as the bed hasn't been vacuumed for a year.Since I have a small baby, we also ordered a baby bed, which to our shock was unfortunately not in the room and when we asked, we only received a cool: "We forgot."After 30 minutes it was still not in our room, so we decided to go into the city to Nuremberg in the meantime. So we went back to the review to ask about the cot.“Do we need it now?” Was the answer, but since we were walking we didn't need it right away.Breakfast buffet had a large selection, nicely laid out, atmosphere in the restaurant was great. The breakfast service was the only nice thing.Location greatThank you, once and never again

At night the heating is switched off, in the evening it's only lukewarm, when I complained about it in the evening they gave us blankets, it was evening and no other hotel had rooms available, but when the heating was completely switched off at night, that was the limit for me exceeded at -3°. We froze our feet off.When I brought it up in the morning, I had to hear that you sleep at night and the heating isn't needed.We travel a lot around the world, but something like that was clearly a limit for me.Our bed linen was changed at our request because there was still a lot of hair from the previous one, just disgustingSpider webs on the ceiling, everything like in a bad movie

No one available on arrival. Because of a folk festival you couldn't drive to the hotel. Dinner is also not possible as the restaurant is on holiday. The previous person's laundry items could still be found in the room. Not very appetizing.

We spent 2 nights at the Hotel Alte Nagelschmeide.The somewhat outdated windows have no sound insulation from the main street, so the noise from the street is always the same whether the window is closed or open. There was less car noise through a side window, but the exhaust air from the kitchen ends there. Well, we would NOT want to stay here in the summer when it's 30 degrees.There was no storage space for personal toiletries in the shower.The room was probably newly renovated and newly furnished with furniture, but a USB port was forgotten, and there was no mirror at the desk (except for a small one above the bathroom sink) so that it could be used as a make-up mirror, for example.The breakfast was really varied, as we know it in Franconia.And we really liked the way the room looked, but that doesn't make for a relaxing night...

Great hotel, great location, super nice owners. The breakfast is rich and delicious, as is dinner. The rooms are equipped with everything, clean and we had a great night's sleep here. We would come again and again :)

I made reservations for around 35 people. Unfortunately, the service at dinner was very lackluster.There was no thank you for packing the store.I think they got fed up with CoronaToo bad

Very, very nice owner family - there are Franconian delicacies and delicious beer here. We have been regular customers here for many decades and love the hospitality :-)
