I stayed here as a solo female traveler and I felt safe. The hotel is in a convenient location. The room is small but clean with a good view. I loved their breakfast! As a vegetarian, I often struggle with having enough breakfast options. They took care of catering to my food preferences pretty well. I would say the downside is the tub is quite high. I almost fell getting out after taking a shower. A small table fan would help since there is no air conditioning. The wifi was also quite spotty.

Generally nice location with a nice terrace seating area. Coffee was good but the cakes were nothing special. They were fresh but not top quality, good for the price however. The staff were generally friendly and helpful as my German was not very good.

Very satisfied with our stay at the Hotel Cafe Uhl in Rothenburg. In the heart of the beautiful walled city....walkable in all directions and no car needed. Old World Charm on the outside and inside. The rooms where clean, the breakfast (included) was good and the service was excellent. The owners spoke English and personally checked us in and took care of us for breakfast. 👍

The professionalism and helpfulness of the staff is incredible. We made a mistake in our reservation date and weren't supposed to check in for another day with my family of four! Without missing a beat, they were able to adapt their accommodations for our needs. Parking is close by ( just on the other side of the Siebersturm . Hotel/cafe has great pastries and breads and of course the local beer made just across the street. The photo shows the famous point Plönlein. The rooms and cafe are just inside the wall and tower (Siebersturm) on the right side of Spitalgasse Street as seem from pic.

Writing this in English so more people can understand:Been only in the cafe. Very unfriendly staff. Food was tasteless. After calculating everything together for myself I thought of 12€ bill. It turned out to be a 20€ bill. Displayed prices don’t count for sitting in. Rough 60% more. After requesting they barked at me it’s been for service… well… bad service, bad food, unfriendly staff. All in all not worth of going there anymore

the lady is really rude. If you are not german, do not come, because she will not help you.She does not want to work and she criticised at our back for 10 minutes. Maybe she thought that we did not understand the German.Worst experience ever. And we would like only to taste the typical dessert.the men is really nice instead, and he will try to understand and explain in case of misunderstanding. Consider yourself lucky if he will serve you.

I had breakfast and lunch there a few times and I am very happy with their food and service. Robert is such a great person and made our visit to this restaurant great! I totally recommend going to Restaurant Cafe Uhl if you visit Rothenburg!

A very nice warm place specially in winter and after a long walking day in the streets of Rothenburg. We visited their coffeeshop and ordered tea. They had a great collection of chocolates and desserts which was really tasty. All was so good. Service was quick and amazing, staff there are smiling and so helpful. A very clean place with a washroom downstairs. Highly recommended.
