I very much enjoyed my stay here for 12 nights. The bed was very comfortable and allowed me to rest well after a day's work. The proprietors are very friendly and very eager to make sure you have what you need to enjoy your stay with them. I would definitely return here is I have business again in the future in Ansbach.

This is a great hotel…from the staff, food and to the downtown location. Very professional, accommodating and top-notch staff members…they are very kind and went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. Definitely one of my top two hotels…and I’ve traveled the world for 50 years. I highly recommend staying at this hotel 💯👍🏾

A lovely hotel in downtown Ansbach. We had wonderful strolls in the downtown center. We had wanted an extra blanket but were unable to get a hold of the front desk when we first checked in.

On the 10.03.24 this sweet-looking local Restaurant captured our eyes, however our impression changed as soon as we sat down at one of the available tables. The Waiter working there bluntly told us the kitchen is closed (no greeting, no apology).I asked if I were allowed to use the bathroom quickly. The waiter yelled back it was only for guests. I replied calmy that we wanted to be guests but can't because we were told the kitchen is closed, and that I was willing to pay to use the bathroom. He yelled back, saying they were closed... There were still guests eating in the RestaurantI have never experienced such treatment in a Restaurant

I stay at this location every time I visit Ansbach, which is a couple times a year, at most. This family-owned hotel is quaint and comfortable. I’ve watched (from a distance) the owner’s children grow up. Such a wonderful family!! I’ll always stay at this hotel.

Wow! This Hotel and it’s staff are a breath of fresh air. The rooms are clean, and super fun. The bathroom is great for 2 people and I would 100% stay again. We paid for the parking out front and it was super easy to get to.I had accidentally booked this room on the wrong day, and they were very helpful and nice about giving me my full refund.Walking distance to everything, if you’re staying in the area I would be sure to check this place out! Thank you!!

Der Schwarzer Bock is an amazing little gem of a hotel located right on the edge of the Old Town district in the shadow of der Kirche St. Gumbertus (St. John's Church Gumbertus). The staff are incredibly friendly, the hotel itself feels and warm and comfortable, and the restaurant is fantastic. I recommend the Hirschwurst mit Kartoffelpüree und Sauerkraut (Venison sausage with mashed potatoes and sauerkraut). If you want to experience true Bavarian hospitality, this is the place to stay.

Great stay at a beautifully designed, very well appointed hotel and craftfully prepared local Bio specialities. The host family are running the this gem of a hideaway exceptionally. Each room comes with a different design, color set and story. Kids and four legged friends are welcome and you might get lucky and join the hosts for a hunt in the local woods before enjoying great game dishes. Breakfast is excellent and the adjacent meeting room and beergarden invite to linger. Thanks for the beautiful experience!

Food was pretty good, but took a while to get it. Service was good but could have been a bit faster. The cola was awful, would not recommend. They do not have Coca-Cola, but they need to serve it because whatever cola they have now is disgusting.
