The hotel is located not far from the city center. Rooms are neat and clean. The reception people were also nice and polite.Breakfast options were reasonable and worth the price.Overall a pleasant stay and wouldn't mind coming back.

I am bit disappointed with some service…Once the lady in bar could not prepare me a toast (around 13:00) as it wasn’t ready… I was hungry so she offered me nuts… Then I asked her to book me a taxi for the airport and to make sure in advance that I can pay by card and that I will receive the receipt. She told me that I can deal by myself with taxi driver… She didn’t even write my room number and she had an issue with booking taxi in advance for the morning…Moreover I received dirty towel with some spots…I like the room - nice, clean and modern. Location is also ok.Breakfast was quite poor - nothing warm to eat, but bread was very good. However you can eat early breakfast before your travel.People in the morning at the reception were super nice and helpful!

Clean, small rooms. Very minimal in terms of what is provided. No water bottle or kettle in rooms. No conditioner or body lotion etcNot overly friendly Service and hospitality. All staff interactions don’t feel welcoming and they don’t go above and beyond.They have some silly scheme where you have to sign up to be a member just to get a bottle of water…. Otherwise it’s 6€ a bottle at the bar…..Please teach your staff to be welcoming or at least a fake smile now and then.

Good location to explore the city center of Cologne. Although the rooms are rather small, they possess all necessities, are very clean and perfect for a short stay. Beds are good and breakfast is more than OK. Underground parking possibilities which is a plus. Overall a hotel I can recommend.

Newer hotel in the Waidmarkt area of Cologne, fairly close to main shopping districts. 1.4 Km walk to the Cologne Cathedral and Hauptbahnhof. Rooms are a little tight, but are clean, with sufficient space to hang clothes. Beds and linens are comfortable. There is an in-room safe. No refrigerator.

Very good city hotel:What was good:- next to a tram station and just next to the city center- interior design always good as expected from Motel One- good bar with a wide selection of drinks/teas…- comfortable beds and 2 kind of pillows- organic products at the breakfast buffet and different types of bread- soundproof windows!!- quiet ACWhat was not so good:- talking about the breakfast buffet, the coice was not superb for 17€. (only normal things like ham, cheese, jam, müsli..) J had the feeling that at other Motel One’s the choice was better like the one in Zurich. Could have offered things like peanut butter, or just increase the price and offer a hot food area.

Overall was a good experience. We had a wedding in cologne and my relatives and I stayed here. There were around 20 of us in total and we all had a good stay. The rooms were very nice and clean also spacious. The service at the bar was amazing, as it was very busy our drinks took a little longer than usual but we were treated extremely well and informed speedily, the service from Justin was 10/10. He was very friendly and professional. Regarding the staff at the check in desk - they were a little more rude and unhelpful but we managed alright. Location was perfect!

My friends and I very much enjoyed staying one night in this hotel. It’s got some nice decorations and design. Rooms are modern and up to date. Comfortable bedding. A bit disappointed in the breakfast buffet (15,90€ per person) selection and seating area… wouldn’t recommend it. Lounge area for evening drink is nice!
