Is this the best location in Köln? We think so - in the centre of the centre of the old town. Everything is within easy walking distance. And despite being in the absolute centre, the hotel is quiet, ultra-modern and serene. …

Absolutely stunning hotel, perfect central location. Friendly staff and lovely quiet hotel to say how central it is. 💛Only minor things - rooms could do with a mini fridge/mini bar, and Aircon doesn't go lower than 19°, could do with slightly cooler when it's so warm.But overall lovely hotel and would definitely return.

Our stay at the Legend Hotel in Cologne was unfortunately quite disappointing. There were several issues that detracted from our experience.First and foremost, the air conditioning in our room was not working, which made the room uncomfortably warm, especially during the summer. Additionally, there was no fridge available, making it impossible to keep water or other items cool, which was particularly inconvenient given the lack of A/C.The room itself was a major issue. The ceilings were at an awkward angle, causing me to hit my head numerous times. This design flaw made the room feel cramped and uncomfortable. The space was also extremely small, not at all spacious as one would hope for in a hotel room.Overall, our experience at the Legend Hotel was far from what we expected. The lack of basic amenities like functional air conditioning and a fridge, coupled with the uncomfortable room design, made for an unpleasant stay. We would not recommend this hotel based on our experience.

I really like this hotel. Each year I visit Cologne for business and I'm so glad that we have found this locationThe rooms are spacious, well designed, clean, have everything neededStaff are friendly. Check in and out both quick and accommodating. Offering to call taxis etcBreakfast was nice. Eggs available on request. A fair selection of food on offerLocation is great. Only a very short walk to the train station. The hotel is right in the main square of restaurants and bars.

Quick read:• Perfect location near Central station and key attractions• Stylish and comfortable room with spacious amenities including a big bathroom, closet, two TV sets, working desk, blackout curtains, etc.• Reception closes early, but a mobile app allows remote access to the entrance door• Rooms on the first floor may experience noise from Alter Markt and the Reception zoneLong read:Looking at the Köln map, it’s quite clear that the hotel’s location is perfect. It took me just 7 minutes on foot to get there from the Central station. Whatever I wanted to visit was not far from the hotel - Kölner Dom, Ludwig Museum, Hohenzollern Bridge, 4711 Eau de Cologne, etc.I liked the hotel building itself. It felt like I stayed in a mansion.The room was also great. I booked a Legend Classic, which is very stylish and comfortable. Big bathroom, big closet, two TV sets, blackout curtains. I really liked the working desk, which is super convenient for work.Some nuances to be aware of:1. Reception works until 10-11 pm. If you are planning to return later, you need to download a mobile app to be able to open the entrance door remotely. One day I went to a concert, which lasted long, and I was worried about getting back to my room. But the app works fine and managed to open the door. But make sure in advance that your mobile is charged.2. If you are sensitive to different noises (like I am), I wouldn’t suggest rooms on the first floor (#1-2). There is quite a lot of noise from Alter Markt and the Reception zone.

The rooms were nice, there was no nice view of the city, the airconditioning went down to 19C only and there was no bath or minibar. The room was clean though and the bed was comfortable. The tv was large though the screen quality was quite poor. The reception also provided some wrong information which they later apologized for. The location is very good and the redeeming factor for the hotel.
