This is a very nice and convenient hotel located directly at the beach. It’s great for runners (nearby woods and trails), tanners, and of course swimmers. There’s even a nudist beach nearby. The rooms are very modern though the could have more hangers for bath robes and towels. In the suites they have shower and a bath tub, however, It would be even more convenient to have a second toilet instead. Food is very good, they serve breakfast, afternoon coffee tea and cake. No “all inclusive” offer though. But this isn’t really a problem, since a lot of good and very good restaurants are close by (2-8min walk). Location is superb: directly at the beach and at the promenade, 10min walk from „Alter Strom“ and „Teepott“. You can see ships coming in and out of Rostock and Warnemünde ports. If you prefer to go to Rostock city center, you can use the public transport (although this is a bit crowded sometimes), use a cab or even a bicycle. They have a nearby car park that you can use, though you have to pay extra. EV charging is possible on the side of the road directly in front of the car park. However, no EV charging at the car park itself, so you would need to remove your car after 4 hrs from the street charging socket and park it. Today it’s quite hard to understand why they don’t install EV chargers in the car park itself so you could just leave your car there.

A few weeks ago my mom, my niece and I stayed for 4 nights in Aja hotel Warnemünde. It was a trip we will never forget and we are planning already our return to Aja for next year. Everything was amazing and so relaxing and clean. The service, the location, the food, the Wellness Center including the Nivea shop all fantastic. My 7 year old niece made so many new friends and enjoyed the Wellness center with indoor and heated outdoor pool the most. Big shout out to the chef, whoever he was he made the most delicious and creative vegetable dishes for the daily dinner buffet. Aja's location is perfect. It sits right on the beach and boardwalk. It is walking distance to town, supermarket, bank, drugstore and post office. Also one can walk to the harbor front with its vibrant cafés, restaurants, bars and the lighthouse. The only rude people we met were the ones renting out the beach chairs on the beach. But I think they were independent contractors, not employees of the hotel.Don't hesitate and plan your family fun, wellness vacation in the Aja hotel Warnemünde.

It was an amazing stay, the location of the hotel is great and it has many facilities that you can use. There are 2 pools, indoor and outdoor each, Jaccuzi and Sauna. The outdoor pool has sea view as well. The restaurant has a great view of sea and sunset. The breakfast was great as well with live egg counter. You can walk around the area whole day as it is sea facing with great view. Only negative part was the noise during the night, as it was warm with no ac in the room, we had to keep the window open during night and there were too much noise coming inside. Rest everything was amazing.

Not recommended for people with a Vegan diet. Really annoying, especially because the Aja is promoting a Vegan option for every meal on their website. When arriving when wanted to eat at the restaurant, nether the service nor the cook even understood what Vegan is and recommended vegetarian food to us saying it's Vegan, well a simple look on the menu showed its not, it contained milk. The breakfast was extremely frustrating with only one Vegan creme. What a waste of money, for a otherwise okayish hotel. Also be aware there is no safe in the room and the dog beach is half an hour by foot away.

I'm a seasoned traveller but I've never seen a hotel with an uglier interior design. I've seen hotels with outdated, even broken or dirty furniture, but never one where someone seemed to have put in some thought and failed miserably. I came here for a weekend get-away, and decided to treat myself to a weekend here. It was almost 500 Euros for two nights, one guest. I think it's fair that I had at least some expectations. The ones that were met: the hotel is super close to the beach and the breakfast buffet was good. Now to the rest. When I walked in, I wasn't even sure whether I was in the right check-in area because the reception looked like an underground car-park. The cold, impersonal and simply weird design extended into the "spa" area (huge, loud, crowded, noisy like a public bath, NOT where you'd ever go in order to relax) and the hallways. I wasn't worried yet, after all, I was not going to spend any time there. Surely the room would be nice, or... even just... normal?Turns out I should've been worried. The room looked like a drunk person decorated it using The Sims 1. The "couch" was a weird contraption of two massive brown foam boxes at a right angle with an oversized blue foam pool noodle on it. The walls were bright orange and on the desk, which consisted of random white plastic shapes stacked on top of each other, sat a huge bright blue lamp. To finish off the blue-orange hyper-modern fever dream, there were two curtains: a blue one at the window and an orange one that ran between the bed and the bathroom, offering a nice little hospital feeling. The orange one was necessary because the bathroom was completely see-through and on top of that, there was only one door for the toilet area and the shower, so you can close the shower OR the toilet, but never both at the same time. I have never ever experienced anything like this before and I hope it never happens again. The staff at the reception was very reserved and impersonal. I'm a friendly person and usually get friendly reactions back, but not here.To finish off, for 500 Euros I excpected more than a haunting interior design, a stressful spa experience and stand-offish staff. Walking back to the train station I admitted to myself that this was probably the biggest waste of money of my life.

I absolutely love this hotel on one hand (and came for a second time) and on the other there are things that can be improved. It is great for kids, though there are not really kids activities planned (and the ones announced at 10:00 am on Strandaufgang 11 are not directed activities but materials and toys available for parents to play with their kids. The kids pool though at the hotel is perfect. They have balls and other inflatables sometimes available for kids to use.The food is amazing, from the quality to the varied offer and presentation. I would not put marshmallows and “streusel” in every meal (breakfast and dinner) since it turns into a difficult situation every time you have to say no and they can simply take them as they are displayed at kids eye level. The rooms are smartly designed and make the most of function considering the space available. I would add a couple of hacken inside the shower to hang the bathing suits so that they dry and not drip outside the whole area. You can also request towels exchange at reception once a day. With a five year old kid we were assigned a room one floor above the restaurants outside terrace (3rd floor), which clearly is not convenient due to noise. When requesting reassignment they said the only option was another one in the 4th floor, this time overlooking the entrance and parking lot, next to the beach entrance, which due to the height also made us hear noises all the time. The last time we stayed at the 6th floor if I remember correctly and there was no problems with noise. The two indoor swimming pools and one outside make you independent from weather, so it’s perfect for me who loves to swim. The personnel is very nice and helpful. Also with the kids. The only exception was at the front desk when we arrived. We stated we could not hear the person who was talking to us. This person answered that he could not shout. We were not requesting that, it was loud at the reception with other people present and also he was not speaking clear and slowly enough, my German husband could not understand. It was not very welcoming. The boat small but very useful indoor playroom in the restaurant was closed due to water pipes problems and they were repairing it. It is a lifesaver for you to finish eating in peace and your kid to be safe at play, so we were very sad it was closed.I would definitely come again! Though my husband would probably not unfortunately.

Great hotel to stay at the Baltic coast. We stay at aja for 4 nights along with our 6 month old baby. Our experience at the hotel was extremely pleasant and we found the hotel to be very kid friendly. On days when the weather was bad, we enjoyed the indoor pools and sauna. The hotel rooms have a great view of the sea. The breakfast and dinner had a wide variety of options. Would recommend and would like to visit again!

Hotel rooms are equipped with basics, but no essentials to relax or take a break from a busy life! No fridge/bar, no chairs, just a wooden kitchen chair and a small ottoman. No coffeemaker etc., no balcony furniture. …

Pros about the hotelIt's perfectly located, clean, bed is comfortable, staff is friendly, there is also a convenience store in the lobby, the restaurant is nice and there is a large selection of food for breakfast and dinner.ConsThe wet sauna and the whirlpool were closed even though they were big enough to fit a number of 3 people and still keep social distancing. There were no little ashtrays on the terrace tables. The bathroom offers little to no privacy. Not recommended for timid couples.

Good hotel with pragmatic very clean rooms. Food is from the buffet I has a good quality. The staff is child friendly. The hotel has a great SPA area with an extra area for smaller children. I recommend it for a short Baltic Sea trip, if you just are looking for a good stay and do want the whole package Room, Breakfast/Dinner, SPA.
