We stayed in a double room in the hotel for several days at the end of October '19. It was an absolutely pleasant stay. The friendliness and “care” of the Zank family, the owners, contributed to this. Our every wish was fulfilled. The room and the entire hotel were very clean. An extensive and tasty breakfast was offered. The coffee was great.The hotel will also be the first option on our next visit to Altshausen. Thanks to the Zank family.

Overall a very nice, clean house. Pleasant landlord who gives guests good tips from the area. The town of Altshausen has seen better times. However, it has a castle worth seeing with a grandiose avenue in front of it. Restaurants offer good and inexpensive food. I will definitely go there again.

I slept well here for three nights, had a very good breakfast and had an excellent meal in the evening, all with an excellent price/performance ratio. The atmosphere is very familiar and cozy. The owners plan to concentrate only on their overnight guests from spring 2018. This saves unnecessary staff and makes it even more comfortable for the house guests. . . A real highlight are the numerous stork nests, which you can observe from the hotel room. . . I'm curious whether Google Maps will accept the two stork pictures - unfortunately they weren't quite as comfortable as it was still snowing here in March. . .

The Hotel Fahrrad in Altshausen is a hospitable family business with a lot of charm. Bicycles can be parked safely at night.Due to its proximity to Altshausen train station, it is also suitable for train travelers, for example for a trip on the "Räuberbahn" Altshausen - Pfullendorf.If you don't want to eat in the hotel, we highly recommend the nearby Pizzeria Neue Welt (out of town on Hindenburger Str., corner of Ebenweiler Str.).

One star is still too many,friendly? Okay, let's leave it like that. The food? I don't know where the positive reviews for the food come from. There was schnitzel, cordon bleu or chicken. Each with fries. Everything from the freezer straight into the deep fryer. It could have been a fried bicycle tube and no one would have noticed.The breakfast, well. That's just how it goes. Apparently it's too much effort for the operators to get fresh rolls, baked ones from the discounter do the same and when you're there you take the sausage with you. Visually and taste-wise, it's not really a stunner. I would describe it as loveless, as long as it's cheap.But the rooms top it all off. Greetings from the fifties. Everything is old and uncomfortable. You can sleep there, where it says that you have to like it. The LCD television really jumped out at you because it seemed somehow out of place. But that was the luxurious double room. Since there were three of us, I was given a single cell. Wow, what a hole. No shower, no toilet. At least I had something similar to a television. At least it was a box up under the ceiling that flickered colorfully at the front. I wouldn't necessarily call it a picture.So, by the way, on the website every room is offered with a bathroom and LED television. But I had a chic minibar. I would have liked to drink the room, but there was nothing in it.They took around €300 from me for 2 nights for my wife, our grandson and our dog. We felt somehow robbed.You can now claim again that we have never been there because they have generously foregone a registration form. A rogue who thinks evil here.Inn bike? Good thing we had a car and were able to escape quicker.
