To the owner of this hotel, kindly pay attention, your sales is being lost here.I have reduced my 10 nights stay plan to 1 night because of my experience at the front desk on the 20/10/24 around 6pm with the receptionist at post with the name tag A.Kopp.I am a well travelled person. I hold Diamond elite with IHG hotels and Marriott Bonvoy as well, I hardly complain but my experience was unusual with Mercure hotel Stuttgart airport Messe receptionist A. Kopp.I was on phone with my partner when I arrived and just before walk to the counter to check in asked my partner to hold on to line, I was the only guest at that moment. Before I got close to the check in counter, A. Kopp, the reception stated that and I quote “if you want me to check you in you have to cut the call” replied him but saying Sir she is on hold. The receptionist A. Kopp insisted that he will not check me in if my partner holds on the phone line, even though I placed the phone away. He asked to cut the line, so I did cut the line for him. But I immediately decided to stay for just 1 night because it was a bit scary. So is this policy coming from the hotel management or A.Kopp did that to me because of my skin color?Kindly note that it is my first time checking into your hotel.Even if it is hotel policy, the receptionist was rude, racist and controlling in the manner at which he implemented it.

Location very convenient for a stopover. Large, comfortable and good equipped rooms. Bar with a good assorted menu with reasonable prices and good quality. Only a ridiculous €17 to park your car in the garage. That is totally unacceptable considering the location.

Well went again to this hotel (due to coach firm staying there) I found it was the same except the staff were excellent even when they were confronted by one of our passengers on the coach because he couldn’t get an evening meal I thought …

I recently stayed at the Stuttgart Messe near the airport with my family for 2 nights, and it was an extremely disappointing experience.Firstly, the temperature during our stay was around 31°C (88°F), and unfortunately, the air conditioning in our room was not working at all. This made the room unbearably hot, and neither my children nor I could sleep throughout the night. In an attempt to resolve the issue, I called the reception around 3 AM, but no one answered the phone. Frustrated, I went down to the reception desk myself, only to find a sign stating "will be back soon." It appeared that the receptionist had gone for a nap, as I waited for 30 minutes, and no one showed up.The next morning, I reported the problem to the reception staff. Their response was shockingly casual, with a mere "oh, ok," and not even an apology. I requested to change rooms, hoping for a better experience, but the new room was even worse. The air conditioning issue persisted, and once again, we couldn't sleep for the second night.Overall, the lack of responsiveness and care from the staff, combined with the unbearable heat and malfunctioning air conditioning, made our stay extremely unpleasant. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone, especially families. Our experience was terrible, and it felt like the staff couldn't care less about our discomfort. Avoid this place if you value a good night's sleep and decent customer service.

Mercure Hotel Stuttgart Airport Messe: Convenience and Comfort for TravelersThe Mercure Hotel Stuttgart Airport Messe lives up to its name, offering a convenient and comfortable stay for travelers passing through Stuttgart. Here's a closer look at my experience:Location: This is a clear win for the Mercure. It's situated right next to the airport, with a free shuttle service to whisk you away upon arrival. A train station is also nearby, providing easy access to Stuttgart's city center. If you're attending trade shows at the Messe Stuttgart exhibition center, you couldn't be in a better spot.Rooms: My room was modern and well-maintained, with clean lines and comfortable furniture. It wasn't overly spacious, but adequate for a short stay. Amenities like a flat-screen TV, minibar, and efficient air conditioning ensured a relaxing environment. Soundproofing was decent, so airplane noise wasn't a major issue.Amenities: The hotel boasts two on-site restaurants – Le Faisan for a sit-down meal and a lobby bar for lighter bites and drinks. I didn't have the chance to dine at either, but the menus looked promising. There's also a sauna and a gym for those seeking to unwind or stay active. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel, which is always a plus.Service: The staff at the Mercure were friendly and professional. The check-in process was smooth, and they were happy to answer any questions I had about the area or the hotel's facilities.Overall: The Mercure Hotel Stuttgart Airport Messe is a solid option for travelers looking for a convenient and comfortable stay near the airport or exhibition center. While it might not be the most luxurious hotel, it provides good value for money and caters well to the needs of business travelers and those in transit. Here are some things to consider depending on your priorities:Limited character: If you're looking for a charming, boutique hotel experience, the Mercure might not be the best fit.Dining options: While the hotel has on-site restaurants, there might be limited variety compared to staying closer to the city center.Recommendation: I would definitely recommend the Mercure Hotel Stuttgart Airport Messe to anyone prioritizing convenience and a comfortable stay near the airport or exhibition center.
