Central location to Stuttgart city center. Flat surface. No marked pitches. Appears to be first come first served. Fair price compared to offerings. Restaurant and small shop at camp site. Fairly quiet compared to be in the city at least when there are no activities at adjacent large market place. Quite varied people at campsite. At the far end, 2 storeys (July 2024) living containers with workers.

Traveled there for euros and i have to say the experience was mixed. Camping spots for tents are all mixed up, nothing is organised (first come first serve). The toilets are in catastrophic state. The staff are nice and calm. Kiosk has some nice stuff and its affordable. The bar was the best part of it. They even let us stay there after they closed. In the end it was a good experience.

You book a campsite you do not expect a car park. €280 for two nights.||Our electric hook up was only possible thanks to the customers forced to stay on a car park. …

The worst experience we have ever had. |We booked for a camper van and tent/awning for 3 nights at a cost of 540 euros.|It was appalling. |We couldn’t put the awning up as we were on a concrete redundant airport runway. …

We stayed overnight on a transit pitch. We made contact with the campsite via email and made a booking. On arrival the campsite is tucked away near to the stadium. Its bleak and very industrial. As it's for just a stopover it didn't bother us too much.My wife went into the reception to get us booked on and returned upset. The man inside was rude and abusive to her. I went in and can confirm he was as she had said. He tried to make out that I hadn't booked, I showed him the email confirmation. He then tried to say that the form hadn't been filled in. I showed him it completed and upon checking his system he confirmed that I had done everything. The young lad took us to the transit pitch which is just a car park. Ideal for us with a caravan as we can stay hitched up.The site bathrooms were clean and water hot.We went into the city via tram and returned to a German motorhome parked so close that the caravan window couldn't be opened without hitting their van.In the morning we wanted a quick depart. We couldn't as we were boxed in by the German motorhome. We asked nicely if they can reverse back but they refused. We had to exit via a longer way. Here we were met by a Dutch car blocking the road. The man reluctantly moved his car to let us out .Once at the gate we were again blocked by another German motorhome trying to check in.It was all rather stressful and we will not be returning.

Worse experience in a long while: very unfriendly Receptionist, totally overpriced for a very noisy and smelly camping ground. The facilities were so dirty that I wouldn‘t want to shower the kids. For us an absolute no go! For the price I‘d rather go in a nice hotel next time.

This camping site is an absolute disgrace. They advertised their rates as being increased due to Euro 2024., knowing this we booked we booked as grassy area with trees as indicated in photos above on the website. Having paid a hugely inflated price by bankers draft, for goodness sake, this country is computer illiterate, we arrived to be shepherded into what was no better than an open air prison camp. The facilities were appalling porta loos and filthy showers, covered in graffiti. This is what they think of Scottish fans who have given a massive boost to the economy. We got a refund but not the £30 additional cost of bankers draft and terrible exchange rate.

I had planned to stay at Camping Cannstatter Wasen, but I decided to leave immediately due to an extremely unpleasant and unacceptable encounter. Upon arrival, we mistakenly parked in the wrong area, which could have been easily rectified with clear signage or a simple explanation (or e arrived at 10 minutes to 2pm) and it was closed, we didn’t know where to wait. However, instead of receiving assistance, we were confronted with aggressive, rude, and blatantly racist behaviour from the staff. We gave him the perfect opportunity to in his mind treat us in a horrible way. This kind of conduct is entirely unacceptable and made me feel deeply uncomfortable and unwelcome. As a result, I chose to leave immediately rather than endure such hostility. I strongly advise others to reconsider staying at Camping Cannstatter Wasen until they address this serious issue and ensure that all guests, regardless of race, are treated with respect and courtesy.

We reserved 9 people for 3 tent spots long before arrival.Upon arrival the management had "overbooked" the campground, and we were told that we could putt up our tents next to the toilets as as little piece of grass was present. The tent area was poorly arranged with other tents due to lack of management. We ended up sleeping on a parking space for busses on uneven grounds. However being acceptable to this, the site manager came the next day and was hostile, aggressive and trying to force us to move. When asked, to where he did not have an answer. The general impression of the site is beside dirty, unorganized and poorly managed. The only plus was a single receptionist being friendly and understandable and the fact we were close to stadium.Going to Stuttgart, the recommendation will be to seek other campgrounds around the city areas, as public transports makes it easy to get around and into city center.
