Can't understand the negative reviews. We were always greeted politely and it's rare to get such good value for money these days. We tried many dishes and found everything lovingly prepared and freshly prepared. Kudos to the innkeeper, who manages everything alone with his wife. Ute and Bernd

We had made reservations for dinner with our hiking group (14 people) on September 27th and 28th, 2024. Great, rustic rooms. All I can say is... we haven't eaten anything this tasty and great in terms of price-performance ratio for a long time. We were all thrilled with the host, who fulfilled all our wishes in no time. The restaurant was full and yet the food was on the table in no time. Thank you again for the culinary delight.

While we were eating (the food wasn't bad, by the way), there was a lot of smoking in the same room and we were completely filled with smoke, despite the presence of a child. Nobody was smoking when we came in, otherwise we would have left straight away. I find it incredible that something like this is still possible. No recommendation.

We visited this fabulous restaurant on the first day of our two-week vacation and were immediately impressed by the great food.We were amazed at the one-man show of the innkeeper in the guest room, who has everything under control between serving the bar, serving guests and running a little shop like "The Flash".His wife conjured up the most wonderful dishes in the kitchen, some of which we were able to taste, except on the rest days. We were drawn there again and again, and without even having placed an order we were given exactly the drinks that we had always ordered throughout the day.We had cozy evenings and felt very comfortable.Greetings from the beer and the two apple spritzers :-)

We had dinner with the family in Steffen's restaurant on April 19, 2024. That was a great experience, a culinary delight from the top shelf! I don't know when I've ever had fried potatoes like this, when the spiced meat was so delicious and when I've dined in such a rustic atmosphere! A compliment to the kitchen and of course the host! Oh my God, how incredibly awesome is your kitchen!? As a Hamburger, I'm really overwhelmed with gastronomy and used to high-quality cuisine. But your plate with schnitzel, fried potatoes and co. Takeaway for 4 people for our birthday child was so unbelievable, it was so delicious, I'm still speechless! I would drive to you from Hamburg at any time to enjoy it again. I can't say anything about the location itself, but your gastronomy is top level, just deliciously ingenious rustic German cuisine ❤️😋👌🏻

This restaurant still has the typical East Algian charm.After a quick telephone inquiry we were able to get a little something to eat with 6 people, which was also plenty. And that on New Year's Day.We were served nicely and quickly. (Scrambled eggs with bread and salad) Very appetizingly prepared.The location is right on the main street. Parking is possible in front of it.

We hike along the green belt with our little daughter and stopped at Steffen's for one night. The rooms are perfect for active vacationers! The room and bathroom were renovated and comfortably furnished. The first accommodation on our hike with blackout curtains! A blessing for our toddler, who was finally able to sleep well.The dinner was also great. Just right after a long hike. We can highly recommend the accommodation.
