Ostsee-Ferienhaus-Welzin

The house consists of two parts. The former living area with thatched roof and the former sheepfold. The entire house was renovated by yourself and with a lot of dedication about 20 years ago. The sheepfold was largely rebuilt, especially the attic. The quality of the accommodation is better overall here. Downstairs in the old sheepfold, kitchen and living area with electric underfloor heating. Kitchen itself is okay, good new dishwasher but slow oven where the circulating air no longer works properly. The fact that the refrigerators and the storage area are in a separate room behind the dining area is annoying when you cook and have to constantly walk back and forth. The dining area is far too narrow when it is full. upstairs two bedrooms with double beds and a children's room with three beds and two bathrooms. As I said, the quality here is better overall, but what's annoying is that everything there is extremely noisy. Putting the kids to bed in the evening and having slightly louder conversations in the living area? That's not in it.Some of the rooms in the thatched part are really not good.We were in the back room on the ground floor: the room wasn't good at all, cold. Thermal window on the bed, but with cracked glass. Insulating effect is of course zero. There are electric night storage heaters in the thatched part and throughout the upper floor. These things are not good and cannot be regulated properly, especially at night - they quickly become too cold or too warm. The air is not pleasant. This is also because the walls are too cold overall and this does not create a comfortable atmosphere.What doesn't work at all: the bathroom upstairs in the thatched part, a real botch especially the washbasin. Really a farce. The thing is on ominous wheels. Water damage is inevitable, especially if children play around with the open installation. Shower was a complete disaster, it felt like 5ml came out per second. The warm water is often gone for several minutes. Ceiling in the bathroom is ultra low. The great joke: hanging the curtain at 1.60m. For larger people this means a bad twist. I've rarely had such an unpleasant shower. In total, this bathroom is less than two square meters. There are a lot of things that need to be spruced up and repaired, especially in the back of the house. I was also irritated by the fact that there don't seem to be any fire alarms installed anywhere. Maybe I missed them too. Don't know if this isn't mandatory in MeckPom yet. But I would strongly recommend it if there is a significant amount of wood and a thatched roof.Tall people have real problems around the house. Unfortunately, some of the beautiful old doors are no more than 1.60/1.70m high. Romantic, but I probably hit my head 10 times on various bars. Be careful with small children as the stairs are sometimes very steep and slippery.Not recommended for more than 10 people. That's where you reach your limit. There were 14 of us. That was too much. For example, we had a catastrophic mini bathroom on the upper floor for six people, which was simply uncomfortable. The house is reportedly suitable for 18 people. This is very tight. The living space is only about 200 square meters.Because we were there over the New Year, we paid a pretty high price (plus energy consumption, that's on top of that). The expectations were quite high. That could not be fulfilled. I can imagine that with a significantly cheaper price in a summer week with no more than 10 people you can be satisfied. Perhaps previous guests were happier because the house was cleaner and in better shape overall. For us the stay was not a highlight.Finally, the entire house needs a proper basic cleaning. After the stays there is probably only a little sweeping and at most a mopping. Cobwebs everywhere and a lot of dirt under the beds (empty drinks packaging, rotten berries). For some things we didn't know whether a few mice had immortalized their remains.

We lived here for 4 days and cycled every day. We looked at everything in the area. The house was equipped with all amenities. We mainly spent time in the large kitchen-living room, which was very comfortable. You can also sit comfortably at the large table in the garden. Grilling was often the order of the day. The rooms are all quite well equipped and everything is very well maintained. There were also enough toilets and wet rooms for the eight of us. We could really use two large refrigerators. We really liked it all around and can now recommend the house. Last but not least, I would like to mention the “house fairy” Jana, she prepared breakfast for us every day. Thank you again for letting us use the house...

Beautiful, large holiday home for large families or groups. The old shepherd's house and the stable were connected and expanded. The rooms are cozy and clean. The bathrooms are quite small, but there are a large number of them. The location is right on the town thoroughfare, but there is hardly any traffic there. The location is generally very nice, in 15 minutes you can go swimming or walking on the coast in three directions. The only point of criticism that no one can do anything about is the very low ceiling height of the second kitchen. Anyone taller than 1.85m must duck their head. Otherwise everything was wonderful.

Well-kept house with a large garden and barbecue area, suitable for groups.Plenty of (albeit small) bathrooms so you don't get in your way in the morning. The landlords maintained friendly contact during our stay and gave additional tips for excursions.We, a family of 11 between the ages of 16 and 87, felt comfortable on our five-day short vacation.

I was able to celebrate my birthday with my guests for a few days in the beautiful Baltic Sea holiday home Welzin. Everything was well prepared, very clean and the landlords were very warm and always clear and prompt in their communication. We all felt very comfortable and would be happy to come back when the opportunity arises :-) Many thanks again to the Drews family. The house is fully recommended in terms of price-performance ratio.

Division of bedroom and bathroom is not sufficient. Some showers in the bathrooms only have a shower curtain. House well maintained inside and out. Children's toys, large trampoline and barbecue available
