Saunstorf Monastery is a wonderful place to slow down. You immediately feel comfortable and well looked after. The whole house surrounds you with a pleasant warmth that you would like to return to.The food is delicious and prepared with love, you can taste it.

I found the area, the furnishings and the garden wonderful (even if the highway could be heard at times)! The food was very tasty. The staff was more likely to be away on business. The events offered seemed improvised and unprofessional; The concept was not thought through to the end (at an event we were asked after 2 hours what we wanted to do for the remaining 1 hour; the participants then asked for relaxation exercises, the organizer let us do this alone, without announcements or anything similar). The motto is obviously “do as little as possible”. In general, there was no relaxation or calmer movements to wind down after the physical exercises; These ended abruptly and we went straight to meditation and sitting quietly. There was also no guidance on what follows or what is important and no room for clarifying questions. The entire monastery team resembled a sect, a closed community in whose activities we - the guests - were “allowed to take part”; we were tolerated, so to speak. That's why I felt uncomfortable there; In addition, there were usually the elongated faces of the people there... unfortunately I didn't feel any warmth, which is to be expected in a monastery. For all additional activities offered (and these were not cheap) you had to pay separately in cash without any receipts; also dubious...Ultimately, the estate should not be called a monastery, but simply a spa house; would better describe what is on offer.

Four days in the dark room gave me an extraordinary and intense experience. The atmosphere in the monastery was unique and I felt very well looked after there. I recommend this journey into the darkness to anyone who strives for inner contemplation. The monastery's amenities helped make this stay a memorable one for me. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

I took part in the “Introduction to Silent Meditation” seminar and am very satisfied. The place has a good energy and I was able to switch off wonderfully here. The room was nice and met my expectations. In general the entire monastery was very clean and tidy. I was thrilled with the food: it was clean, certified organic and super tasty. Last but not least, I can do it for everyoneRecommend the seminar I attended. It was suitable for both complete beginners and advanced users. I took a lot with me inside and am very grateful for this great weekend. I would like to take a break from everyday life there again and continue to explore my inner silence. Thanks to the entire team. 🙏😊

My stay at Gut Saunstorf Monastery was a transformative spiritual journey into my inner self. For a week I was able to escape the hectic pace of everyday life and concentrate entirely on my spiritual development. The atmosphere in the monastery was warm and welcoming from the start. The staff and community created an environment of calm and peace. The meditative exercises and spiritual conversations helped me center myself and find inner peace. The beautiful surroundings were particularly impressive. The monastery's park, surrounded by nature, provided the perfect backdrop for my spiritual journey. The walks in nature and the moments of silence in the park were particularly valuable to me.The monastery offers a wide range of holistic treatments and therapies. I have taken advantage of some of these offerings and found them extremely healing. The meal in the monastery was eaten in silence, which really helped me to concentrate on my thoughts and experiences. There were no prayers, but a lot of meditative exercises that deepened my spiritual practice. This week I not only got to know myself better, but also gained valuable tools and insights to continue my spiritual journey. I am deeply grateful to the entire team at Kloster Gut Saunstorf for this enriching experience and can recommend this spiritual retreat to anyone who is looking for inner peace and spiritual development.

I registered for an appointment with the doctor at the healing center over 2 weeks ago using the registration form, after 4 days I received an email saying that the doctor would contact me... unfortunately I'm still waiting today.I already thought of your answer that the doctor has become ill, but you can still give information that it is not yet possible to make an appointment due to the doctor's illness. You don't need to contact me anymore, I'm no longer interested.
