Beautiful place in a lovely landscape in the immediate vicinity of a lake and not far from the lake. Wonderful peace, spacious rooms and the largest bathroom I have ever set foot in. Juicy blackberries, tame peacocks, swings in the tree and an enchanted mix of new and old make Tressow Castle unique.

We've been home for 10 days now and we already miss the castle. It's a really hard place to compare because you live in a castle. I slept sensationally in a quiet and secluded location and was perfectly rested every morning. As a domicile where I can be at a dog beach or in a nice restaurant in Wismar within a radius of 15 - 20 minutes by car, I highly recommend it without any ifs and buts. Greatly furnished holiday apartments here give you the feeling of living in a castle for a very good price. The housekeeper is always approachable and helpful and the castle owner is a pleasant and friendly contact person who shows that the castle is very important to him. We booked Tressow Castle at short notice because our booked holiday home had been given away twice. I have to admit that in retrospect we were grateful to be able to experience something new after 25 years. We'll definitely be back next year. Conclusion, highly recommended.

A nice, quiet place to stay, located near Wismar. We were here for the second time and were able to relax well. The rooms are very spacious and the beds are very good. A hospitable place even with a dog. The construction work continues at the same time and has not caused any disruption. The receptionist was very friendly. We wish the owners continued success and visible progress.

Beautifully located and very quiet right near Lake Tressow and only 20 minutes from the Baltic Sea - the nearest and most beautiful beach = Wohlenberger Wiek. The rooms are incredibly large (and especially the bathroom) - you can really feel a little regal here (the four-poster bed is lovely). It's nice that such mansions are being restored so lovingly and made accessible again. There is also a history behind this mansion/castle that is worth reading (see homepage).We can highly recommend a stay in this house.

I have some really happy, relaxed times with my husbandDays spent in Tressow Castle.A late classicist building with a remarkableStory. (Just like the teahouse).The view from the window -the lines of sight, the beautiful old trees -the antique, economical furnishings -the wonderful four-poster bed with the extra thick mattresses -(how did I sleep well there)the large luxury bathroom with beautiful details -the staircase with the original marble stepsand the cast iron railing -the wonderful double doors -the loving, expert restoration of the facade -and last but not least, the very nice support from Ms. Koch!We'll be back next summer,Lake Tressow is waiting!

We booked the lovingly restored Tressow Castle for a short weekend stay. We received a very friendly welcome and had a positive impression upon arrival.We really liked the size of the holiday apartment, the convenient location near the A20 between Wismar and Schwerin, the quiet location in the middle of nature and the beautiful park with old trees. We found all the necessary equipment in the kitchen, but there was a lack of dishes and cooking utensils (no large pot, no large mugs, no teapot, no pot holders).What we noticed negatively were the very sagging mattresses and the clear signs of wear on some items such as the very dripping shower head or the toilet brush.The rooms are all very large, with high walls, but therefore also quite noisy. This cannot be avoided, but it should be mentioned.

From the outside it is a very beautiful building which has been extensively renovated and modernized. Celebrations can be held here. The buildings nearby are lost places buildings and are not recommended

Very beautiful mansion under restoration with a very moving and long history that you should definitely take a look at. There are four apartments in this castle, which can be booked as a holiday home. The proceeds will be used for restoration and preservation. The stay there was a lot of fun, there was a lot to see and the building simply radiates its long history. There are wonderful old trees in the associated park and you can go for a wonderful walk in the adjacent, somewhat gloomy forest. There you can even find the ruins of an old school and the cemetery of the school children... a real little world in itself. Highly recommended for a short vacation, at least I really liked the building during that time. Many thanks again to Peter, who is largely responsible for the restoration and with whom we had a great chat and learned a lot from it. From there you can also go on great tours to Wismar or Rerik, it's not far away.

We booked a holiday apartment there. The castle has been beautifully restored. The holiday apartment is nicely furnished. In the evening you have absolute peace and can relax and sleep nicely.

The castle is somewhat remote and is still in the renovation phase. There are 4 apartments available. All very large and beautifully decorated. The hosts were very friendly and available at any time. Great bread service.All in all, a good starting point for excursions in the area. But you shouldn't expect too much. Everything is not perfect yet.

To be honest, we somehow expected more. The castle is still in the restoration phase and therefore individual facades are not yet finished. The surrounding area is poorly signposted and so after a few minutes we drove on again and went to Lake Tressow. It's beautiful here and we definitely want to come back again. A great lawn with a wonderful view...almost an insider tip 😉👍

What a great effort to bring the castle back from the dead. Once the family home of Countess Elisabeth (Tisa) von der Schulenburg an artist / nun and humanitarian and also her brother Fritz-Dietlof Von Der Schulenburg who has been further immortalised in a beautiful book called The Good Germans. One day I hope to visit from Australia.
