The Geibelhof is a beautiful location, which is why we wanted to have our civil wedding and celebration there. Unfortunately, the collaboration with the Geibelhof is sometimes positive, sometimes negative. The biggest point of criticism were hidden costs that were not mentioned to us for a long time. A calculation table that existed from Geibelhof (including details of drink prices) was only sent to us very late. Due to the additional costs, we were forced to shorten our stay at the Geibelhof by several hours and hold the celebration elsewhere. The email communication was very slow and you basically had to call yourself again and again if you wanted an answer. We would have liked to have received more support in the planning phase. When asked which wedding games could be played so that both families could get to know each other better, the only answer was “all games can be played”. I would have liked to draw on the experience of the Geibelhof, which has already looked after a few weddings. You couldn't listen to the music playlist in advance either; instead, it was only pointed out that you could put together a playlist yourself. We were already in the middle of planning our meal when we were informed that Maikel was no longer working with the Geibelhof as a caterer. It was very positive that we were able to use the flower decorations from the previous wedding free of charge. That was great! Thanks for that! Everything went well on the day itself. Only the number of chairs for the wedding ceremony was too many, even though we had communicated the number of guests in advance.Unfortunately, the Geibelhof was only partially suitable as a location for photographic support. The lighting conditions in the wedding “room” (with the gate open) were a bit difficult – but the black and white pictures saved it. Unfortunately, the toilet sign is almost everywhere in the pictures because the photographers had to take photos at an angle. In the outdoor area there was criticism directly from the photographer herself because plants near the stone stairs were not trimmed and the upper area was untidy. According to their expert opinion, beautiful pictures couldn't be taken there, which is why we only took the group photos in the Geibelhof in front of the palm tree and walked to Nidda (corner of Restaurant Fleißiges Liezchen) for the bridal shoot. It's a real shame because the location for taking photos was a reason for choosing the Geibelhof. In addition, on the morning of the wedding day, I specifically asked a waitress whether the stone stairs and the upper area could be used for photography - at the foot of the stone stairs there was a sun lounger and a chair set up like a barricade. “Yes, yes” was the answer and in the end nothing was changed. We would like to thank Rolf for organizing the bride's entrance, opening the gates and playing the music so well. It went exactly as we imagined :)The apartment is rather functional. The toilet is downstairs, the stairs are very steep, all three beds are different (the double bed is the most comfortable) and the bright green chandelier is a bit unusual in the otherwise more rustic interior. But Rolf was also very nice here and the water was free.
