The hotel lobby is used as pick up shop for DHL and Hermes. Generally the lobbylooks spooky and not in use. A east european looking man with long grey hair and glasses hands out the pakets after he came out of the room next door. That man isnunbelibable rude and aggressive. I dont understand why such a thing is possible anyway. Its Germany ...

It's a good value for money place, but don't expect anything too fancy. ||||The staff is friendly and helpful. Everybody speaks sufficient English what's really helpful when you didn't get a chance to master your German! …

I stayed 4 nights at this hotel (180€ total no breakfast). It's a very simple hotel, no specific charm but if you go there just to sleep it is good enough. There is no lift, so you can carry your luggage up.||Clean, friendly staff. …

I must admit to being really disappointed when we first arrived. The rooms are very basic and a little tired. But, we stayed for four nights and it was so quiet and comfortable that I was more than happy that we stayed there. …

Lady at the front desk was nice. (But she thought that we don’t know how euro looks like, we bought toothpaste for 1,50e and she charged us 2,50e) whatever. We were expecting something in different standards(for $60 per night we usually had something nice), everything was old like from 80’s maybe 90’s.WiFi doesn’t work at all. Location wasn’t bad.

I stayed at Hotel Haubach for 3 nights in October to visit Berlin and meet a friend of mine who lives there. |It is a 2-star Hotel, so rooms are not so big, but they have all the necessary you need for a short stay. …

A previous reviewer called this hotel "Fawlty Towers." This is unfair. The Pension Haubach hotel is nothing fancy, but is only 55 Euros in a good location along a quiet street.  …

Hotel Haubach is a good budget place to stay in Berlin. I guess it used to be a block of flats which the owners could not remodel properly as all the rooms have a big - and completely empty - kitchen, while the bathroom is so small I felt …

This hotel location is good but people on the desk, back office speaks some unknown language. Extremely rude as they probably do not understand English or German. Very bad experience. It took us 1 hour to check in as the person was doing everything manually and asking us to sign in multiple places. It was late night(German time)after long international travel and we almost collapsed on the floor. We missed our dinner as everything went at Snell's pace during check-in.Rooms facing the road are bright and large, whereas rooms facing the backyard looks gloomy.Entrance is pretty confusing, specially when hotel people guides you in an unknown language. The elevator needs a key everytime to enter and at the night it's difficult to open the elevator door with key as the backyard is dark. Lift never stops on any floor directly but stops between to floors. So, if you are old or handicapped, you have to carry your heavy international luggage up the starecase half story in the starecase to reach your floor. Bizarre !Breakfast is very very basic with spread and quantity being served. Lady responsible for supervising breakfast room also had angry attitude almost all the days.Pretty lady Irma could speak English and was our savior. Thanks Irma for making us feel safe and wanted.Water in the tap during our stay was dirty and non drinkable one day without any prior notice.Overall didn't feel that we are in Berlin, with respect to our earlier many stays.Essence of Berlin was distorted by the experience of staying at Hotel Haubach. On the last day of our stay, we checked out and came back to hotel after shopping. We wanted to rearrange our luggage with stuffs we bought. The lady at the reception came charging my wife and said, eating is not allowed in the reception or something like that.We explained, we are just arranging our stuffs, not eating. Her body language was shockingly unfriendly. we couldn't understand anything other than some one is abusing us for reasons best known to them.We stayed in Hotel Haubach for 5 nights 6 days.I personally wouldn't recommend this place to any international Traveller.
