Rooms are spotless and well located, but there is almost no airflow as well as some safety concerns.1) There is a serious ventilation issue. Our room was incredibly warm even with the heating off in early autumn, and the window opens only 3 cm and provides nearly no fresh air. We noticed no air vents and had trouble sleeping due to the stagnant air.2) The contactless check-in poses 2 serious security risks:(A) You enter your credit card on an iPad mounted on a vertical stand, so your full details are visible to anyone standing behind you. Moreover the iPad asks if you would like to “save your payment details” (!!) meaning that you could conceivably pay for your stay with someone else’s saved credit card! There were several people who had saved their cards and mind boggling that this feature was there.(B) At the end of check-in, your room number is shown in large type on the screen. Again, this screen is visible both to anyone in the lobby and anyone standing outside the large glass windows. For female solo travellers especially, this is a serious safety risk and means that someone can follow you to your exact room later in the night. These are easy fixes and can be done on the software end but show a concerning lack of thought for the user experience

I am giving a 5 because of the service given to me by the Tunisian-Moroccan gentleman at the front desk named Stu (apologies if spelled incorrectly). Phenomenal service, all done with a smile.I was attempting to go to the wrong entrance to get to my apartment. He stopped what he was doing & enthusiastically said he'd come with me to show me where it is.

Possibly the worst 'hotel' I’ve been to. I’d rather go for a hostel instead! |The service is terrible, the rooms are super hot and you cannot open the window. The fan there is ridiculous too…|Very strange people (especially for a woman). |Just, don’t do it!

The hotel is a self-check-in type with digital processes, unfortunately there is no reception staff on site and you must take care to receive the access code on the reservation voucher. Registration is done through the self-check-in terminal in the lobby. In my case, I went to the reception of Hotel Niu Flash for the access card. The room is clean and with modern furniture, it has a very well equipped kitchen and a large bathroom. The room has a radiator type heating system, it is very efficient in the winter, but unfortunately for the summer heat, there is no air conditioning, which is why the room temperatures can be higher in the summer. However, there is a fan in the room.Free Wi-Fi with acceptable speed. There is a vending machine for ready-made food and drinks in the lobby. There is no parking and depending on luck you can find a parking space on the main street, sometimes closer, sometimes further.I will gladly come back here, but not during the summer.

I had a disappointing experience with the app and check-in process at this hotel. Unfortunately, I encountered difficulties as there was no readily available assistance from hotel staff when I needed help. Communication was challenging since phone calls often went unanswered, and email responses took at least a day. Furthermore, I was consistently directed to visit the reception of a neighboring hotel, as both establishments are apparently owned by the same company.Initially, I was provided with a wohnungsbesichtigung, as I had booked the room for a minimum of four months. However, upon leaving after the agreed-upon duration, my new landlord requested a rent clearance letter or certificate from my previous landlord. Despite my request for a simple document stating that I had paid all my dues, the hotel staff declined to provide any assistance. I made numerous calls, visited the reception next door, and spoke to various individuals—all of which I have evidence of.This situation caused significant problems for me, as it became challenging to secure another apartment since I was new to Germany and had no alternative way to prove that I had no outstanding debts with my previous landlord. To compound matters, I was informed that my last day would end at 9 AM, despite having paid for the entire night. Consequently, I received one less night's stay than what I had paid for. I verified this discrepancy multiple times through both phone calls and in-person conversations with the reception next door.Overall, it seems that the management of this hotel lacks the necessary competence to effectively run the establishment.

This place as a concept aims low and still misses the mark. There is no onsite staff. I was told my room would be cleaned every 3 days. It was not cleaned once. I got no new trash bags so I took one from a public one that had not been used yet. You can get your own fresh towels and toilet paper from a closet in reception. The wifi is unsecured so don't use it for banking or other important things. The wifi sometimes works. In theory you can chromecast to the TV. I was not able to make this work.Your emails to the hotel's 'hosts' will largely be ignored. The hotline isn't very hot.The rooms are nice tough but there is no Manuel how to use the stove. Or microwave. Or dishwasher. The hallways look like prison halls. With their bleak concrete and absolutely no decorations. The windows do open. However if you push the wrong button they only flip open from the top a bit. And then you need to find an elusive employee who has a key to allow you to reopen your window. I got lucky but several other people didn't. And it was a very hot summer. The lobby has 3 machines the one with drinks and snacks was broken for 3 of the 6 days I was there. The microwave meals looked so gross I decided to cook with stuf from a nearby supermarket. The location is in a public transport deadspot. So you'll need to walk or use the electric mopeds to get to the public transport hubs. The price is cheap and I needed a place all of a sudden and this was quite cheap. But if you want to enjoy your time in Berlin. Go somewhere else. The saddest part I that with minimal effort it could be very good. Put someone at reception. And 1 more person to arrange the window issue and other room issues. And you'd have a vastly better experience.Since the concept I get not cleaning every day.But like I said it was a warm summer. And if they had kept their promises of cleaning a couple of times it would have been fine. But they never kept their promises.I am being very generous with the 2 stars.

I can't tell you how much of a disaster check in is. We walked around the building then tried for 10 mins to get into the front door. Knock on a side window to get someone's attention to get out of the cold. She told us how to get into the system. After 10 mins of trying that we just went to the hotel next door. After traveling so far thats the last thing you want to have to deal with. 15 hours on the plane. Please just put a sign to check in at the other hotel, Save all of your customers our headache. I had to explain to people, not English speaking, how to check in. Not my job but tried to save them the same frustration we had.Cleaning staff have been so nice. The hotel next door has had to do everything but its so inconvenient to have to walk all the way around the building to talk to someone. Room is wonderful and wellstocked.

The location is good. The check in process is pretty tedious. Aditionally, if you are traveling in the Summer, it is good to know that this hotel does not have AC. There is a small fan in the bedroom and it does not do any justice for a day at 35 degrees celsius day. It is literally an oven or a sauna, however you want to put it. We asked for an extra fan and the receptionist was very rude about NOT giving us one. The room was stuffy and dusty when we arrived. No air circulation is possible, since there is only one small window. And did I mention NO AC? It's 2023!The room is small, not sure why it looks so spacious on the pictures, do let let this fool you either.

- complicated check-in, we had problem with our pin but receptionist helped usCoffee - there could be more capsules (we had only 4 capsules so only for 2 days for 2 people - we were there for 5/6 days)Window for a key? We couldn't open window wide (it was blocked) and the room was very stuffy and the air was dry.+ bed was very comfortable, in the "kitchen" we had everything we needed, we had TV and Wifi was ok.Bathroom was very nice too and a shower:)

Honestly I found this place to be great. Very nice and quiet area. I liked the autonomy of the lobby actually as it felt very secure and private. There’s a place for washing and drying also. The rooms itself are more or less perfect.
