Be extremely careful if you decide to stay overnight here, you may risk being left out. I booked three nights for two people on Booking. You know how much of a hurry Booking puts on customers, and this was the last room left, so I had not seen that it was not possible to check in after 7 p.m. No big deal, you might be thinking: it's 2024, surely there must be a way to self-check in, it's not like they can leave you in the middle of the street if your flight is late, right? Our flight was scheduled to land at 7 p.m., so we would arrive less than an hour later. We kindly asked the owner for the courtesy of being able to check in at 8 p.m., but she refused with the excuse that she runs the pension alone. Then we asked for a refund on our reservation, but she refused because the rate was non-refundable. I fully understand that a host should protect against last-minute cancellations, but we booked the last available room a month and a half in advance (Sept. 2 for Oct. 18-21). Since we were not causing her any financial harm, her decision not to refund us had no justification. I contacted Booking support, but the owner continued to refuse to show any understanding or kindness, and she also accused me of wanting a 4-star hotel treatment. I am a very calm and gentle person, and I have never had such a thing happen to me in years of using Booking. In the end, she "offered" to refund us part of the amount and withhold one night (70 euros) for no reason. Even though all this is permitted by Booking's regulations, it is actually not legal (you can search the web for court rulings on non-refundable rates). If you find yourself in this situation, know that the European Union has arranged the European Small Claims Procedure just for cases like these; it is entirely online and you don't need a lawyer. Please do not let this person take advantage of your mistakes or contingencies.

We chose this hotel by chance and it was one of the best decisions in our trip! The room is very spacious and clean, cleaning is done every day. The toilet and bathroom are crystal clean, everything is done very neatly and conveniently. We also had breakfast: coffee/tea, rolls, slices of various cheeses and sausages, orange juice, and you can also take cereal or yogurt or jam for a roll separately. In general, the experience of staying here is very positive, one minus is the lack of a common kitchen or an electric kettle in the room, but honestly, the pluses cover this one minus! I recommend and will definitely come back here if I'm in Berlin again!

A great place to stay during a visit in Berlin, especially if the Zoological Garden is on your list of attractions to see. But even rest of the city is easily accesible thanks to the close subway station. The price is nice, a service is not only helpfull but also really kind, rooms are clean and breakfasts good. Also the neighbourhood seemed as really quiet and safe.

Sibylle was a really lovely host. When we arrived she showed us city and metro maps and offered to highlight places to go. She emailed us instructions to get to the hotel beforehand. The included breakfast was lovely. …

Me and my wife enjoyed the stay at Pension Brinn. The hostess was very friendly and helpful - she made us feel welcomed. Breakfasts were good. Pension is located very near to Ku'damm and Tiergarten, but the street is quiet so if you want to you can sleep with opened window. Overall - good value for money!
