We were told that we will be given a code for the lockbox, to get access to a key to the apartment. The owner took a very long time to answer the message, and doesn't pick up the phone. After about 30 minutes, someone come to open the door for us. I assume he is the housekeeper, he speak very little English and German.The room in general is fine, but the bath is a big problem. It is just an enclosed showering pod, tuck into a corner of the kitchen. Worst part is, there is no curtain to separate the showering area and the other part of the kitchen, basically exposing the person who is showering. We request some kind of curtain but was not provided.The attitude of the service is also very poor. Mainly the lack of communication regarding the lockbox code, very late and not responsive at all. The housekeeper keeps trying to suggest us to leave, implying that we should cancel and get a refund from Booking.com. He also call a man on a phone to explain that to us. It was very late and there is no guarantee that we will get our money back from booking.com, so we insist that we stay and only request a curtain for the bath, and some hot water. The man on the phone with the housekeeper says he can't help with the curtain, and says the hot water will be available in a few minutes. There wasn't any.Other than that, bedroom, WiFi, kitchen and sockets work fine. The room is a bit airstuffy, but honestly amenities are generally good for the price. It is only about the lack of communication, a qustionable bathroom and the lack of hot water.

the worst apartment I have ever seen. before someone rents this dump, they should read the reviews and comments of other people. the apartment was terribly dirty and smelled. the bedding was not changed, it smelled of sweat and dirt, really? … it was cold in the apartment and there was no hot water in the shower… you can’t take a shower because it is in the kitchen. no internet. the owners do not reply to messages, there is no contact with them… no privacy… the owners’ friends come to the apartment and use the toilet… for me it is unthinkable that someone rents a private apartment and a friend of the owners comes to the apartment and uses the toilet and then leaves behind a stench that cannot be tolerated… the owners do not care about their guests… terrible mess in this apartment, the floor was very dirty, flies were everywhere! such a property should not be put up for rent! it is a shame! they cheat people and make money on it Booking.com does nothing about it… it is a joke and a daylight robbery…

We booked on Airbnb, the reservation was officially confirmed and when we arrived they were not available to be contacted in any way. We get in touch by chance with the host and he tells us that they have no reservations for us.The host on Airbnb said he can speak English but in fact he is not proficient enough.This place is definitely scam. Worst service ever.

If I could I would give ZERO stars!My mom and I booked accommodation through Check24 from July 26th, 2024 - July 28th, 2024.The code for the key box should come from 3:00 p.m. We are still waiting for it TODAY (Monday, July 29th, 2024).We tried to reach someone by phone, but no one answered. Nobody responds to text messages either. Check24 gave us a second cell phone number that was completely switched off.There was NO way to reach anyone. So we had to look for a new hotel on a Friday evening during a concert weekend so we didn't have to sleep on the street!STAY AWAY FROM THIS "hotel" / holiday apartment or whatever it is supposed to be!!!We can only hope that we get our money back as quickly as possible and actually they would have to pay us for the new accommodation as compensation!!!THANKS FOR NOTHING (except the psychological stress on the day of arrival)

If it were possible I would give 0 stars, we were told we would get the code for the safe where the key is stored on the day of arrival. The code hasn't come yet. Nobody answered the phone on site and nobody answered the phone, just keep your hands off these scammers!!!

If you could give 0 stars I would.First no one answers their smartphone, then only one who speaks English to you but can answer your German question perfectly. Then they can't find you in the system, you're supposed to be called back, nobody calls back and you get a dubious SMS with no salutation and no sender. And no one answers if you want confirmation that the SMS is legitimate.Really serious, especially in one of the most beautiful districts I've ever seen, the number of items that were reassigned was impressive.After reading all the reviews, I'm glad I didn't stay there, but I'm still shocked

Our experience is horrific.After a long day at the SHK+E trade fair in Essen, we just wanted to move into our room.Calls to hand over the keys were not responded to and no call back has been received so far.I don't want to leave the house at night in this area.Just stay away from this accommodation.Hopefully we will close this property soon.

I've never seen such bad accommodation. In need of complete renovation. We reserved for 3 people and only got 1 towel for 2 people, one of which was completely dirty. The bed covers were also dirty. There was no working heating on site, only 2 electronic heaters that didn't help. It was so cold all night long. Cleanliness also left a lot to be desired. Absolutely not recommended for the money.A tip from the owner, invest a few euros and then it will be a top accommodation.

A very bad experience. We booked and when we arrived we didn't meet anyone. When we contacted them they said the heater was broken and they didn't offer us an alternative even though we had an 8 hour drive, my family and four children, and we slept in the car that day.

Simply great!!!I have rarely experienced such service. When we arrived, the dishwasher was still full of dirty, moldy dishes, so we just had to turn it on to get clean dishes.We were also encouraged to get to know our roommates a little more intimately, as the toilet door couldn't be locked. And if you did, then you were physically challenged because you could only get it up again with immense effort.I was only slightly overwhelmed when I gradually discovered the 6 refrigerators. Which one should I take now?!? The decision was then kindly made for me when I opened the respective refrigerators and recognized their condition (very disgusting).The rusty screws from the balcony roof scaffolding, on which I almost cut myself several times, also provided a nice moment of surpriseAll in all a 10/10
