My partner and I had a wonderful stay here and citytrip to Dusseldorf. The hotel staff were friendly and welcoming. Lenard, who was at reception most of our stay here, answered every question we had and gave us suggestions on where to go, what to do and how to get there. We had some refrigerated items we had brought with us that we could store in the hotel refrigerator. We wanted to buy some altbier as a souvenir, but it was a holiday so Lenard offered to let us buy a 6pack from the hotel, which was awesome. There are about 5 on-site parking spots, and since we arrived early enough to use one (10 EUR per day), we were able to park our car during our 2 night stay. The tram station is just 100 meters from the hotel around the corner, and the system is easy to use and get around the city with. (we used the 48-hour tourist ticket). We didn't choose the breakfast option, so can't comment, but there are also some coffee/breakfast places across the street if you want to sit on a terrace and drink a coffee. There is even a beerhall that makes their own altbier right across the street as well, so if you're feeling lazy and don't want to go to the altstadt (which you should), you can just drink some altbier right across the street in an "authentic" setting. The hotel rooms are a bit older and smaller as some have pointed out, but nicely renovated and kept very clean. My partner and I both slept very well (good bed) and the area is relatively quiet. When we come back for another Dusseldorf city trip (lots to do) we will be staying here again. I think the price/quality can't be beat. Highly recommend it. Also, book direct, it was the cheapest option and it's the best way to support high quality independent hotels like this.

I loved it - such a cute cosy place. Most importantly - the staff and team are so kind. They do treat you like family. I will never stay anywhere else when visiting Dusseldorf. Its in a very cute neighbourhood as well and right next to all the key public transport lines.

In my opinion one of the best places to stay in the area. Nice and cosy, clean and comfy rooms. Reasonably priced while located in a prosperous part of town. Very friendly staff, excellent service, great breakfast! We appreciated very much that e-mails were answered quickly so that we could sort out things easily. Huge plus is that there is a parking lot for which reservations can be made. Travelled with a toddler and had a wonderful stay. Thank you!!

Nice small hotel, family style. Belsenplatz next to the hotel offers many restaurants. Few metro stations from the old centre.

I loved this place. The hotel has genuine character and is certainly no bland facsimile of 90% of places out there. Our room had decor chosen by someone taking care and with their own flavour.  …

Stayed here on business in a group of 8. Staff are very friendly. Rooms are small and basic but spotlessly clean. Breakfast is very basic and limited and hot food is on a first come first serve basis. Location is great with good bars and restaurants within a short walk. Also on site parking is a bonus.

Very friendly people. The night-guard is also a major plus point! The rooms are not very big or pretty. But for that you pay significantly less then in other places around Dusseldorf, and it didn't bother me at all. The cleaning lady comes every day by default. The breakfast is a small buffet, but it has everything you need, coffee, tea, fruit, egg, meat, cheese ....You can't get a place with a better connection to the underground/metro. Just around the corner are the rails, there are a lot of trains passing there, you rarely have to wait more than 10 minutes. Plus the trains are in the center in no time. If you are more of a walker, the center of Dusseldorf is close by enough to get there in just 30min.Overall very good. Would recommend.
