All good here. They do speak English but had good patience with my poor German skills (I'm still learning so I try to continue in German when English is offered even if it ends up an awkward mix of the two or giving up and speaking English!), helpful when I found my suitcase was damaged (kind offer to help try to repair it but I bought a new one and was just glad to be able to dispose of it), found my room clean and tidy every day, and a comfortable stay.I'm not a fussy person but in any case couldn't see any reason to be less than happy with it. It's not a place that does breakfast etc but I find that no problem at all with at least 3 or 4 supermarkets a short walk away or anywhere in the entire city of Düsseldorf very short tram/train/underground rides away.

The two of us stayed 3 nights in a double room, booked through C24The hotel is marked as BFF Airport Messe Schlaf, but is online via Maps as Sonnenschein. It was a bit confusing to find it in the dark.It is an old building, so you can clearly hear loud conversations or other activities from the neighboring rooms. The window could be opened completely and had fly protection in the summer (great!). The elevator doesn't seem trustworthy at first because it jerks a lot at the start and there is no light. A maximum of 2 people with light luggage can fit in there. Each person must travel individually with suitcases.The staff was very friendly and came every morning to change towels etcYou get one key for the main entrance and one for the room. Unfortunately, the room doors are just normal thin wooden doors, we always took all of our valuables with us because you could really easily break the doors open with a kick and there are no video cameras.The bathroom and shower were very small/cramped and as a slightly fatter person I had problems showering properly/moving around. The rooms were clean and well maintained. Nothing smelled and not a single corner was dirty. At first we had a bit of a panic about the bed because it has a slatted frame, but it's really stable ;-)Connections are great. You can quickly get to the airport by bus. The old town can be reached in 15-19 minutes by subway/tram. 10 minute bus ride to the huge park for hiking. The regional train runs to the main station every 15-20 minutes. Netto, Lidl, kiosk, pizza/döner/burger shop and bakery within 5 minutes walking distance.The hotel itself is located between RathMitte and a bus stop. It's a small walk, but that's just how it is :-)4/5 stars because of the unsafe room doors, the elevator without lights and the lack of soundproofing. Great for people who want to sleep in for a night, but not recommended for longer or intimate overnight stays for two. Everyone hears what you say/do there and it's a bit uncomfortable to know...

Luckily we only spent one night there. The room is incredibly small, there is very little space in the bathroom. There is no fridge, no kettle and not even a plastic cup in the room. Window facing the street (which is very loud) without any sound insulation. All night long it felt like the window was open - you could hear absolutely every car and every conversation. The room smells of alcohol and old furniture, you can't get used to this smell. The whole floor smells of cigarettes, even though smoking is prohibited in the rooms. The cushions are in terrible condition, made from lumps of polyester. Price-performance ratio is super bad.Never again!!!

I was at a game and then we wanted to spend the night there and of course we asked if it was barrier-free and they said there was a back entrance and then we got there and no back entrance was just bad 👎

It's an inconspicuous little hotel. We walked past it twice. The room was clean and the bathroom was fine too. High shower tray. The receptionist was nice and helpful. I didn't see anyone else. There is no breakfast. The mattress had metal springs that you could feel with every movement. That's fine for one night. It's an inexpensive hotel. But I wouldn't book it again.

The reception was super nice!We booked ourselves in because we had to go to the airport at night. Because the rooms are extremely noisy from the street but also from the neighboring rooms, we heard not only the traffic on the street but also the traffic in the neighboring room. Accordingly, sleep wasn't really an option, but otherwise it was definitely nice, cheap accommodation.
