Decent hotel. The breakfast is tasty and fresh, the rooms are kind of cold but you have the possibility to turn on heating, no toiletries in the bathroom but you can ask from the reception. Location is 15 min from the city center, so that is a plus. Receptionists helped us with ordering taxi's whenever we needed them.

Expensive, and: crappy door lock (easily stays open), key card works 8th attempt, wifi inlog very complicated, helppage in Spanish only, certificates of network outdated so no internet pages accessible, no locker, one slow coffee machine at breakfast, had me pay for parking although exit on Sundays is free.

Booked via the Melia app and got really good prices, far below most hotel search sites. The hotel is 15-20 minutes walk from the center and has lots of parking right next to the hotel. …

Nothing special but good enough to get your head down in peace with no issues. Also parked a van full of items and felt safe to do so.My room still had bottles from previous occupants behind the curtains, but the rest was clean.I'd recommend staying here if you don't need to be right in the centre - great transport in or a short walk.

Really good breakfast, large parking area and good positioning. One small problem, I don't know why the rooms get so hot durring the day, even if the max temp is 21 and the blinds are closed, when I get back it's like 28 degrees in the room. By the way, super nice bathrooms and you can make your own coffee as soon as you open your eyes in the morning.(coffee machine in room and there is also water for drinking)

Very noisy location with many drunken people around at night. No air conditioning and very warm rooms. Room service speaks neither German nor English. Very poor service: elevator broken for one entire week, coffee/tea, minibar not refilled for days. Good breakfast but overall to expensive for poor quality and service.

Quite dissapointing.1) The hotel was undergoing construction work (mid august 2020).So workmen could, and did, pass our window at any time during the day. There was no mention of this on the website, nor on booking.com (it would have made us choose a different hotel)2) Our bad for expecting airconditioning in a fairly new 4 star hotel. We won't make this mistake again. We were there in the middle of a heatwave. The hotel had put up big fans in every room, so we had the choice between not being able to sleep from the heat, of from the noise of the fan.Leaving the windows open was no option, due to the gangways for the construction workers all around the building (anyone from the street could enter our third floor room), and the street noise.3) Breakfast service was very poor.Due to Covid-19, they were obviously understaffed to be able to apply all of the necessary measures.- Our first morning, breakfast was served at the table. (this was explained when we checked in, and we had to make a choice beforehand)Most of the food/drinks we had chosen were brought, but they forgot the egg that was promised, and never returned to ask if there was something more we would like and if everything was ok. I really would have liked a second cup of tea, but we saw the staff running back and forth, leaving our corner unattended. Waving didn't help.I'm not blaming them, they were just way too busy with both attending to all of the other guests, and with the hygienic measures they have to apply now.- Our second morning, breakfast was served as a buffet. We were not informed of this, nor on the procedure we had to follow. (also no info on that at the entrance of the breakfast room, just the big 3: mask, clean hands, distance)When we (2 persons) arrived at the counter, we got appointed to a table for one (small table, set for one, with ONE chair). No space for two, as the 1,5 m distance to the surrounding tables could not be maintained.I was not planning to have breakfast, sitting on my partner's lap, so we kept waiting, and finally the hostess went to find us a suitable table. She was quite unwilling, like we were being difficult, which was unpleasant.Behind us was the table with the hot drinks and cups, so I went for a cup of hot water for my tea. I got a reprimand, as it was not allowed and we had to wait for the staff to do that. It would have been nice if we had gotten that info beforehand, I would have complied and stayed in my seat.4) Due to the hygienic measures, the folder with all guests-info was removed from the room. I suggest that the hotel either provides a disposable folder for every new booking, or puts up this information in the public area's.Now we were kept in the dark on all of the do's and don'ts under Covid-19.This is the first hotel we ever checked out of, where we were not asked if everything was to our satisfaction. Sadly, the answer would have been no, sorry. There's room for improvement. The positive points are the large parking area (which is fairly cheap at 4 €/night), though it should be marked more clearly as the driveway is for a big venue behind the hotel, and you cannot see from the street that this driveway serves for the hotel parking too (we noticed later the sign is in a bush), and the location near the cosy harbour with all of it's restaurants and bars. The rooms are spacious and the bathroom has all comfort needed.Sabine & Jochem

The hotel is really good, perfectly located, not far from the train station, yet in a calm neighbourhood. The staff is very friendly, room was clean and cozy, and the breakfast was really good. Also it was very clean and warm (I stayed in February). Definitely recommend!

Checked in after a hot summer day and the room is nearly unbearable. The room is visually presentable but it smells like swamp water and is insanely hot. They have no AC and no fans (reception said they ran out). The only way to cool the room is by opening the windows that face a loud busy city street! Nothing but cars and people noises all night along with random ambulance sirens to jolt you out of bed.In addition, the food was not good, the WiFi was useless, and there were multiple small things in the room that were broken. Needless to say I won't ever stay here again.
