We stayed here because we couldn't get into the NH hotel, but I would stay here again! The proprietor is super nice, it is his family's former home, he is very knowledgeable about the area and speaks good English. …

The Haus Masthoff is a cosy and quiet hotel, it feels as if it has not changed for many years, with furniture, interior and decoration in the room and public areas that has an almost austere 1930’s feeling in a postwar 50-60’s building …

A cozy room in a rustic style, which I really like. Clean, tidy, very nice, friendly and courteous hotel manager, Mr. Masthoff. The price including breakfast is absolutely fine. Free WiFi and TV in the room. The castle park, the exotic forest and the old town are very easy to reach.

It might have been nice there 50 years ago...Very small rooms with a bed that you sank into so deeply that you couldn't fall out, you could hardly move in the bathroom that was in need of renovation, loose parquet flooring was covered with carpet, parking was only possible directly on the street possible (with luck), the stone slabs of the outside stairs were partly loose and these stairs were so poorly lit in the evening that you could hardly see the last step (result: pain for days). The only plus: the proximity to the city center.

Hotel Masthoff is a cozy hotel that has changed little since the 1970s. which does not mean that it is impoverished, on the contrary. The welcome was very warm. …

Very familiar and quiet. Nice rooms, some with balconies. Unfortunately no more restaurants. Just breakfast. This is rich and very good.
