When I saw the first picture of the hotel I decided: I'm going to stay here tomorrow. No sooner said than done and I don't regret it. Even though the hotel is already showing its age, I felt very comfortable here. Quite the old school or in modern German: old's cool. What particularly stands out here is the staff: they love their job and it shows.

We were there on the weekend of October 24th and we really enjoyed it. We had a room with a lake view that hadn't been renovated yet and it was getting pretty old. But otherwise everything was fine. Breakfast was great, dinner was delicious and the service was very friendly and nice. We would be happy to come back as soon as the rooms are renovated.

We were able to host our wedding celebration at the Seehotel Krautkrämer and can say: it was simply perfect! Our guests continue to rave about the friendly and professional staff. We also can't say anything negative about the rooms and accommodation. We would particularly like to highlight the management assistant Ms. Weiß, who took a leading role in planning and implementing our wedding celebration. She managed to organize a perfect day where we basically didn't have to worry about anything. We would host our celebration at the Seehotel Krautkrämer again at any time and would like to thank the entire team again.

My room (and bathroom) was rather small and not very modern, but certainly okay. I was really pleased with the coffee machine and the coffee cups in my room (it’s a bit weird though that they also provide tea bags without a water boiler being present, but I assume that you can have one if you ask). The breakfast in the hotel improves my score for this hotel: it’s worth five stars in my opinion: salmon, many different cheeses, several kinds of meat, good coffee, tea, orange juice, waffles, … Possible points for improvement: The Wifi in the room was far from perfect, and a more stable water temperature in the shower would have been nice.

Nice remote hotel. The room was okay, but if you come with children or a baby, from personal experience you should rent a family room early. It would be nice if the WiFi was faster and there was an option to order via tablet so you don't have to call and more choice from the bar or for food.

There wasn't even an overnight stay in the hotel. We read on Holidaycheck that renovation work is taking place in the hotel. That's why my wife called there to find out whether the work was finished or whether construction noise might be expected. In addition, we wanted to know whether all rooms had been renovated. The employee who answered the call was apparently very unmotivated and, slightly annoyed, said that the rooms were ready. When my wife asked why he was reacting with such consternation and whether this question shouldn't be asked, he replied: "This is getting too personal for me, have a nice day." Then he hung up.I have never experienced such unprofessional and outrageous behavior - especially in a 4*+ hotel. After my wife had calmed down about this behavior, she called them again a short time later to complain immediately. She was then connected to another employee who informed her that renovations were still underway and therefore not complete. The previous employee was not only rude and completely incompetent, but also lied.

First of all: the location is wonderful. The breakfast was sensational and perfect with everything your heart desires. The service was lovely. However, the hotel is clearly showing its age. Our room was in need of an overhaul. From cracked shower trays to half-blind mirrors and outdated furnishings, there is a lot to do.I'm not sure if the state-of-the-art digital phone including pad is the most important thing?9 euros for outdoor parking if there are enough parking spaces is also not that modern, as is 10 euros for a glass of wine in the evening.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 days and were extremely satisfied. The room wasn't renovated yet but it was really great. We were given a lake view room without asking. Breakfast was really great, everything was well prepared and a great selection. The boss, a really great and cool guy, takes care of his guests. Because of the staff shortage that is currently everywhere, not everything is perfect, but anyone who complains here should stay at home. Many thanks to the whole team, we felt very comfortable and would love to come back.
