Beautiful former train station, transformed and expanded into a hotel with restaurant. Friendly service and delicious extensive breakfast. Dinner with a package is not a la carte, but more than excellent.

Bad Bentheim is a pleasant town in Germany, there is a beautiful castle that can also be visited, definitely worth it.

Easily accessible. Within walking distance of the center. Normal food, good, not too much, but tasty. Nothing wrong with the beds. Rooms not noisy, i.e. not noticed by us.

Hotel with a great location for a quiet weekend away. Some points of interest: | - toilet in the bathroom is very low, almost a children's toilet | - soap dispenser and toilet roll holder are both difficult to operate …

The hotel is advertised with a beautiful photo of Bad Bentheim castle, but unfortunately it is located in the old station of the village. A completely different building. The rooms are small, but quite okay. Squat bed, no air conditioning, cramped bathroom. Anyone who books half board through NRC Handelsblad will be faced with a great breakfast but a terrible dinner experience. 'Between six and half past seven' is mandatory at the table and then everyone is forced through three very mediocre courses in an hour. The vegetarian dishes in particular are a) unimaginative and b) severely substandard. The dessert is called chocolate mousse, but it is a lump of solidified Nutella. After 10 p.m. the catering industry ends, it is not possible to get a drink for the room. There is no service in the rooms (the bed remains unmade) and it is particularly unpleasant that the bill (also for those who park on the street in front of the hotel) is 4.50 euros per day. There is no mention of this in advance/on the website/on the P itself. That is, to put it mildly, not nice.A bit of a shame, everyone. Complaining is not encouraged by the rather sullen appearance of the owner (whom previous visitors describe as 'someone with a short fuse'). The staff does their best, but when complaints about the food, for example, do not go further than: "I will pass it on to the kitchen. We will learn from that." The fact that NRC claims that a two-day stay at Bentheimer Hof actually costs more than 600 euros, but that their offer only makes you pay 200 euros is downright a joke.

A very well organized hotel in terms of check-in, food and orientation in the area you are visiting. Beautifully situated on the edge of a forest and with the beautiful appearance of a station building from a bygone era. Tastefully adapted to current times, especially on the ground floor. Rooms slightly dated but comfortable. Very friendly staff with humor. If you “adapt” to the concept of how this hotel was conceived (everything in train theme and fixed time for dinner), then it is a hotel where you will have a very nice time.
