At many we times tried to reserve a room for a week or longer; always sold out on Saturday, possibly also on Friday .|It is recommended to apply basic revenue management and keep some weekend rooms for longer staying guests. |This worked in the past, but it seems not possible with the new management.

We ate in the hotel's very nice beer garden. The food was very tasty and the service was friendly and accommodating. Will definitely come back, highly recommended.

Rate the lunch menu offered in the hotel restaurant here. Highly recommended in terms of selection, quality and price. The only disadvantage: When paying by card, tips cannot be included.

Dinner at last night was absolutely spectacular!
We were a group (donors from Germany and representatives from South Africa) from an NGO - Children's Project in South Africa, and the final celebrations of our whistle stop tour made for a wonderful highlight. Our grand finale!

High quality food, large portions, in a very pleasant atmosphere. Attractive house centrally located in the small town of Haltern.I accompanied my husband on his business trip. Our room was clean and spacious. There is no elevator in the house, which wasn't a problem for us, but may be important for some. We enjoyed the rich breakfast buffet together. There was no wish left unfulfilled. I tried the lunch menu alone and was thrilled with the price-performance ratio. There were 4 different dishes and each included a soup of the day and a dessert. We only had dinner once. Our dishes were very nicely prepared and had a large portion. I didn't finish mine, although I really enjoyed it.The hotel is in the middle of the city, I was able to shop and walk on foot. A little further away, easily accessible by car, bus or bike, is Haltern Lake and is worth a trip. It was a bit cold when we visited, but there is also a nice outdoor terrace in the hotel/restaurant. There are parking spaces right in front of the door.

The restaurant has been one of the most renowned locally for decades - and rightly so. Even after the change of ownership, the quality, service and offerings have remained at the same high level. Excellent location in the center, still quiet, well-kept atmosphere, everything spotlessly clean. Warm, friendly, attentive and personal service.The restaurant offers high-quality international cuisine, class instead of quantity. Special requests are always happy to be fulfilled. The salad bar is appetizing, everything is fresh and crunchy. Portion sizes are appropriate.The review counts for the restaurant because we didn't use the rooms.

We only ate in the restaurant with a large group. The map read well. I ordered pork fillet with apple in Calvados. I had high expectations since the prices are rather high. Just under 24 euros for the dish. A plate came with three pork tenderloins. They were fine. On top of it were raw, hard apple slices and a brown pulp on top. The optics are rather unattractive. Taste ok. The sauce tasted like nothing. No sign of Calvados. I find raw apple slices on meat strange and don't taste good either. Others criticized the sauce, which tasted bland, and the salmon was too dry. For dessert there was only ice cream, mainly vanilla ice cream, but that was out. Also unfortunate... the food was ok but nothing more. It wasn't so great that I would go there again. Sorry.
