I can't say anything about the hotel itself, so no points are awarded. But the restaurant is a blast - beautifully, rustically furnished and the food is just amazing. The meat was tender as butter, the sauces were excellent and the portions were perfect - in my opinion. I don't think I've eaten so well in a long time.

Something very special that we would never have expected here...We drove to the Tecklenburg open-air theater and looked for accommodation nearby. We found this in the “Hotel zur Post” in Riesenbeck. Inconspicuous from the outside, it is something very special from the inside: redesigned to the highest standard with numerous original letters and paintings from well-known artists, letters from world-famous scientists, athletes and singers, it is worth a visit for that reason alone. We received a warm welcome, there was plenty of parking and charging options for electric cars. In our room there is an original letter from Picasso...which is great for sleeping under. 😉Air conditioning...big TV...radio in the bathroom...great beer garden, which we unfortunately couldn't visit due to time constraints...there's nothing to complain about. Nothing at all.The staff is great. We enter: everything is prepared. You are greeted by name. Everything is modern, high quality, extremely clean. The price-performance ratio is right. You can tell: this hotel is run well and professionally by the director and his wife. Very nice people. They proudly show us the great exhibits... among other things. a letter from Goethe, Princess Diana, George Harrison, Marlene Dietrich and many more…Conclusion: “Zu Post” is worth a visit. Our expectations were exceeded. A real insider tip for art lovers. Here the guest counts…And:We'd love to come back.

The initial enthusiasm quickly disappeared after we turned on the air conditioning and we couldn't sleep properly because of the humming!!!

The hotel is very modern and nice to look at. However, the air conditioning hums all night long once it is turned on. The operators of the hotel are aware of this but they do not point it out. In addition, there is still noise from the bowling alley at 12 o'clock at night. You can't even think about sleeping here.

The hotel is centrally located and you can go on beautiful hikes straight away. It is absolutely quiet and the furnishings are extremely tasteful. The service is very friendly and the breakfast menu contains everything you could wish for. The food in the restaurant is absolutely amazing and creative and we loved what was on offer. The price-performance ratio is right. The hotel offers leisure and fitness facilities, but since we wanted to go hiking, we didn't use them. Before our vacation, we received useful information and offers of help via email, which increased our anticipation and the feeling of being welcome.Overall, our experience with this hotel was so positive that we are happy to recommend it to others and would be happy to come back.

The only thing we didn't like here was the breakfast buffet, as the selection was very limited. We didn't expect baked rolls and cold colored eggs at a 4-star hotel.

Our concern was to find an appropriate atmosphere for the funeral service. At the first conversation we felt like we were in very good hands. The offer that was made to us was absolutely outstanding for my aunt. Then on the day of the funeral service we have to say that our expectations were more than met. Afterwards, the guests were amazed at how smoothly everything went.Kudos to you and your employees. I hope that you continue to have many guests who are as satisfied as we are

The hotel was very tastefully decorated. Beautiful wall art. The beds were good, nice bathroom. Breakfast with local products. A very nice (German) owner, married to an Italian. Parking on site at the hotel.

If you want to go out for a delicious meal, the Hotel zur Post in Hörstel is very nice, the prices are Christian and relevant, the staff is attentive and accommodating. We'll definitely and happily go there again

We came across this hotel by chance as part of our wedding planning. We ate there twice beforehand and immediately realized that the restaurant was outstanding. Even if the price seems high, the quality, taste and presentation of the food is worth every euro. Further communication about the event on February 10th was incredibly professional and accommodating. It couldn't be better! Nothing more can be said about the celebration on February 10th as everything was perfect. The service is particularly noteworthy. Top gastronomy that deserves every praise. Children and dogs were very welcome. I would easily give it 6 stars. We will be back definitely!!!
