As soon as we arrived we were greeted warmly and asked about our trip. We immediately felt welcome. Our hosts were always there to look after us, gave us good tips for excursions and always had a kind word for us.The breakfast exceeded our expectations. Every day everything was fresh from the farmer, baker and butcher. The jam was freshly prepared by the hostess herself and so there was a lively exchange of recipes. Every day there were different sausages, rolls...The hotel had a homely character and you immediately felt at home.From the first moment we felt like we were warmly welcomed here. We like coming back here.

We are back in the Fichtelgebirge after 4 years and made a conscious decision to stay at Haus Bauer for the second time. The building is certainly older and it has been a while since the last major renovation. But something is always being done. It is important to us that everything is well maintained and clean. The location at Ölschnitz is very quiet. You can almost only hear the rushing stream. With room 6 we almost have a small apartment with a walk-in closet and separate bathroom and toilet. The breakfast is very extensive, from fresh bakery rolls, bread, sausage, cheese, cereal, fruit, juice... to home-made jam. On the days we went hiking, the lady of the house brought us a bag so that we could take some of the rolls that we couldn't eat with us.

Were guests at Haus Bauer four years ago. And this time too, our impression from the first time was confirmed. Great, just great. No matter whether the location, the room or the breakfast. Speaking of breakfast: the guest is simply pampered here. In addition to sausage, cheese, fruit and muesli, there is homemade jam. There is also a different type of breakfast sandwich every day (also applies to sausage, cheese, fruit and jam). So really variety and not the same thing day after day. Although the house is a bit older, it makes a very well-kept impression. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Some star bunkers could learn something here.Thank you, family Schmidt!!! 😀👍

A very nice hotel, with a lovingly furnished single room where I could relax. The breakfast is lovingly and adequately laid out and nothing to be desired is left unfulfilled. The location is central, not far from the market square and the spa gardensI would go there again and again.

The location of the hotel is very central and yet quiet. Nice operators of the hotel, warm and accommodating.Interior a mix between stylish and something yesterday. Reminded me of the 80s.WiFi doesn't work everywhere, but it works fine in the breakfast roomBreakfast with a lot of passion and sumptuous.Bad Berneck had its best times 100 years ago. Today, unfortunately, it's yesterday's news and in need of renovation. Good when the weather is nice, not inviting when the weather is bad. No inviting infrastructure.

Such a nice place in beautiful surroundings. Host couple are amazingly sweet and nice, we felt right at home.The tiny town between the cliffs are worth a long walk and don't forget to ask for restaurant recommendation for dinner. We did and had an amazing meal in a nearby restaurant. Will come back for sure.

A very cozy and friendly hotel. The hospitality of the hosts is beyond praise. The river flowing right in front of the hotel and the view of the mountain give the hotel a special charm! The Hotel Haus Bauer is highly recommended. A small family hotel that is run with a lot of love by the owners. The rooms are cozy and above all very, very clean. Particularly noteworthy is the great breakfast with homemade jam and small tarts. We would come back at any time.
