We went there for coffee. The terraces offer a wonderful view of nature. I ate the world's best cream cheese cake there. I love this cake and have never had a better one anywhere.

I was here Friday evening to Sunday morning for hiking. The dinner offered there was excellent. Service quick and very friendly. I slept very well there - it is very quiet in Schlaifhausen. Everything I wanted was available for breakfast. Here too, everything is of the best quality. There is enough parking space and the view from there is beautiful. I will come back.

Six of us were hiking in Franconian Switzerland and wanted to treat ourselves to a good lunch. When we entered and asked if they had room for us, we were rudely asked if we wanted to eat anything at all. Although the inn was mostly empty, we were reluctantly taken to a table and told that we could stay for a maximum of 1 hour. When we had ordered and had already handed over our menus, another waiter came with menus and placed them on the table for us. "If you still decide to eat something." he said. The whole time we were in this restaurant we weren't treated like real customers and were dismissed as scroungers who didn't leave enough money. The whole behavior was probably because we are students. I find it incredibly disgraceful to treat us like this just because we are young people who don't have that much money. Nevertheless, due to the high prices, we all left over €25 and left after 40 minutes. I couldn't imagine more uncomplicated customers

Top location for a (day) trip to Walberla in Franconian Switzerland. Delicious food and good service with a great view... ideal to combine with a short hiking tour... we'll always come back

We celebrated our wedding in Ehrenbürg and it was such a beautiful celebration. Everything was perfect. The food, the view, the service of the boss. We could decorate the day before the wedding, always call. We celebrated in the big brother hall and it was great.

We celebrated our wedding yesterday with a free wedding ceremony in Little Brother. It was beautiful from start to finish. Since we brought our own decorations, we were allowed to go in and decorate the evening before.We also had guests who had to arrive beforehand and their rooms were prepared earlier especially for them so that they could get ready. There was always someone there to ask questions and they were always answered. The waiter was constantly at our disposal and the drinks were always there quickly. The food was perfect and very tasty, there was something for everyone. We were allowed to order extra schnitzel for the children.We can only recommend it here! 😄

All in all, a mixed experience, but I have to break it down a bit:The location, i.e. location, view and ambience are really great. You can have a great time on the terrace, especially in the evenings. There is really something special on offer here, a really beautiful facility.The food is solid but not outstanding, but I can't find anything really negative here.When it comes to staff/service, I have already experienced two very different characteristics. The staff at the evening event (wedding) was sensational, super friendly, attentive, nice, funny and extremely committed. After the event, at breakfast and checkout, things were unfortunately different. When I asked questions, I only received stupid answers and when I commented that we unfortunately didn't sleep well because of the temperature in the room, the only answer was "then you'll just have to come in winter". If it was a bad joke, then unfortunately it was very wrong.The rooms would also be my biggest criticism. Unfortunately there was neither comfort (beds were very sagging) nor cleanliness nor the feel-good factor here. It was almost 30 degrees in the room, there was no air conditioning and you had to decide whether you wanted to open the windows or close the curtains - so either dark or warm. The price was simply too steep for that at €144 for a family room.So unfortunately overall it's not a really good rating, but it can definitely survive without an overnight stay here.
