An absolutely outstanding place with beautiful rooms, friendly people and a calm and relaxed atmosphere.The breakfast buffet was delicious, the rooms were spacious and a real eye-catcher and the location of the guest house was absolutely incomparable. No matter where you want to go, you can get to every location in the area quickly and easily. The peaceful environment was also very pleasant.We couldn't find the entrance at the beginning because the sign was a bit hidden, but that's the only criticism I have.I recommend anyone who wants to vacation in Pottenstein to ask about available rooms here.

We came here spontaneously with a large group. As we all know in Franconia - if you want to eat Franconian food you will be well served. If you want to eat vegetarian Maultaschen, I would rather go to Swabia. The price-performance ratio is right here. The Schäufele were great and the dark beer was great too. Everyone was very satisfied and would definitely come back.

To the beer garden:Rarely have we had such a bad meal in Franconia. Went there with a larger hiking group and had pre-ordered, but there was still confusion about orders at the counter. Furthermore, the service was absolutely unfriendly. The line was forever long because it's "self-service" here.The food was simply inedible. The vegetarian Maultaschen in “curry sauce” were no better than from ALDI, with watery curry (?) soup and a few random vegetables. I had the three different bratwursts and I quickly felt sick afterwards. Guests who had the Leberkäs and the potato salad sent them back. Everything out of the bag and at such high prices! Outrageous!

Very nice guest house. Had a great room with a balcony and a large bathroom. Everything very clean. Everyone was very nice and accommodating. Breakfast was also very good. Very comfortable there. Quiet and still very centrally located for eating out. I would recommend.

Review only beer garden:Rustic, natural self-service beer garden that you rarely find anymore (at least not in our home country). If the weather is good, you can stop here for a delicious beer after your hike.

The in-house cave drink, the only light beer, unfortunately seems to be an extremely light draft beer, tastes very watery, good for your thirst but bad if you expect a decent light beer. Even the Radler hardly tastes like soda but just like water, the Kellerbier is significantly better but still strangely light.

Nice beer garden right next to the mini golf course with self-service. We were hungry after a hike and wanted to grab a bite to eat. The beer garden wasn't very busy, so at first we weren't sure whether there would be hot food. Not all dishes on the menu were available, but the classics like chunky bratwurst and cheese platter were available. We were able to take the drinks straight to the table.After about 15 minutes I was able to pick up the plates at the food counter.The cheese plate was well filled for ~13€, the planned 3 slices of bread are almost not enough to process the cheese.The coarse Franconian bratwursts and the sauerkraut were great, I've rarely had such good sausages! Absolutely recommended!

We were 4 cyclists from Erbach/Donau. Very nice, well-kept and nice guest house. Room/bathroom very nice and clean. Beer garden and food and breakfast very good. There was nothing missing. We were in the self-service restaurant and the service was very unfriendly and was happy when you left. The sausage salad was also very watery and even the onions didn't taste like anything. Not recommended

Very clean but a basic place to stay. No frills here. Rooms large and spacious with a clean functional bathroom, but bed linen not very modern. No luxury here. Flat pillow with no stuffing which didn't support my head. No minibar. No Aircon. Basic cold breakfast. Adequate.
