Romantic and quiet break in a hunting lodge run with a lot of passion. We chose the castle as a meeting point for a family weekend and came with 3 parties. Apartment 11 is ideal for 2 parties with children and the spacious rooms are lovingly furnished. Well-equipped kitchen and 2 toilets. But our parents' room was also spacious and very charming. We can only recommend the breakfast to everyone and it is of the highest standard. Homemade spreads, small salads, eggs from the happy chickens that walk around the property and other delicacies gave us a happy start to the day. The whole property is very well maintained and there is a small playground for the children where we were able to put our feet up in a few deck chairs. We really felt completely comfortable and welcome here! 100% recommendation

The hotel is a dream. Each room individually. Breakfast at its finest and the boss and staff so accommodating, kind and warm. Everything was great and highly recommended!!! We have already reserved again for next year!

This is a gem. We were looking for a discreet place to stay overnight because we had brought a family member to Hof at the beginning of the semester and the journey back to the Rhine Main area is a strenuous affair, even by car, although not as much of an “ordeal” as trips with Deutsche Bahn are now.We came across it by searching and by chance and the pictures online and reviews sounded promising. We can only confirm the reviews, an excellent little Garni Hotel.Not a chain, owner-managed and looked after, friendly, nice, accommodating.Each room is individually, royally decorated... that this house went through dark times as accommodation for people who had to flee during the Second World War, then served as a school camp and none of the original furnishings were left when it was actually still a hunting lodge The current operators are allowing the ambience to emerge again. Very tastefull.We are referring to room 3, in the Viennese Baroque, polished varnish, .. View to the east, you are woken up by the sun in the morning. Mattresses well above hotel standard, the double bed has medium-hard mattresses that are meter wide.For comparison: In the chain hotels where I have to stay overnight for work, you have 70cm or 80cm and you are almost lying on “concrete”. This is pleasant. You can't hear anything from the neighboring rooms despite the historic building structure.Breakfast can be booked as well, scrambled eggs, cappuccino etc. cost a small extra charge.Lovingly arranged, mini mason jars, very hygienic, rich..If you feel like having a glass of wine or beer in the evening, there is a self-service solution. You enter what you consume and it is billed for afterwards.What you have to pay attention to: It's best to arrive by car. I cannot assess whether it is suitable for people with disabilities. The rooms are on the upper floor and can only be reached via stairs. Note There is a riding facility next to the hotel. Anyone who has a horse will not only find joy in the hotel.Therefore, when we are back in Upper Franconia, this will be our first port of call if we need a temporary home there.Many thanks to our hosts

Very individual hotel, suitably furnished for a hunting lodge, with lots of unique, very tasteful rooms. There is a lot to discover here. Delicious breakfast with homemade jams, hearty salads and fish specialties. Located in the middle of nature on hiking trails with a view of the associated park with horses and peacocks. Warm hosts. Anyone expecting a standard hotel à la Ibis will be disappointed. An insider tip for friends of the unusual.

You always feel like you've arrived and are warmly welcomed. There were wonderful days again in this great little hunting lodge. Everything just fits us here.Beautiful, cozy apartment, fantastic surroundings and not to forget this very extensive breakfast, eggs from our own chickens, homemade jam to name just a few. We will definitely be back. Lots of love, especially to the smallest dog and everyone who lives on Fahrenbühl, whether 2 or 4 legs.
