A place that could have invented the words hospitality. The two managing directors look after the guests very attentively and with dedication to their job. The rooms are practical, but are getting old. The food and drink selection is very good. A great starting point for excursions in Franconian Switzerland.

We went to the inn twice for dinner. Our daughter has several intolerances which were always addressed. She was always offered alternatives. The food is incredibly good, the employees are super nice and really try hard, something you rarely find anymore. Thank you very much and all the best to you.Warmest greetings from the Black Forest

Good food and a warm atmosphere, and a large variety of soft drinks. My family and I went on Tuesday for the first day of school with the children, a variety of food, the little ones enjoyed. The service is very friendly, and the children ordered their food as well as the adults, they even felt very proud to be able to order their own food. I recommend them all; the place, the food and the drinks. Personally, I loved the gin and tonics. It is a place that I will visit more often....

We stopped for lunch on our hike and were pleasantly surprised by the friendly service, the lovingly designed menu, fresh flowers on the table and the dishes we ordered, trout Müllerin and horseradish meat, were a poem. Everything was freshly prepared. After the final, very delicious cappucino, we moved on completely satisfied. Price-performance was very reasonable for the quality.

We had a wonderful evening with very good food. Children are treated with particular care so that you feel completely at home as a family. You immediately notice how much love there is in this inn, both in the ambience and in the food on offer. Here, attention is paid to regionality, quality and hospitality. Clear recommendation.

Old, venerable hotel that has retained its charm from the 60s/70s. If you like that, you're in good hands there.There would have been a better rating if the standards hadn't left something to be desired. First and foremost, the condition of the rooms should be mentioned, with completely leaky old windows, old, poorly maintained fittings, where the water flows everywhere else, except on your hand, or on your body in the shower.The cleanliness of the bed linen is very positive.The breakfast, which is only offered on Saturday and Sunday, is absolutely overpriced at €15 in terms of the amount and the service! I can have a much better breakfast in a 4* hotel for the same price.There is a lot to work through, approaches can be recognized, but the basics have to be right.

Can only warmly recommend the Gasthof zur Post. If you want MotelOne standards, please stay away. If you are looking for super friendly hosts, personal service, delicious Franconian food, clean rooms and charming accommodation, this is the place for you. Also great location for trips to the Franconian region. The selected, perfectly prepared dishes are also impressive. Not to mention the beer... Keep it up!

We had lunch there. The prices are reasonable. The horseradish sauce on the horseradish meat could not be tasted and some of the potatoes were undercooked and therefore relatively hard. The staff was very friendly.

The hotel is beautifully located. Check-in via a key box is impersonal and uncomplicated.The room was spacious and nicely decorated. The condition of the sanitary facilities was disappointing - the toilet was dirty on the outside (feces?). The shower mechanisms were in need of repair in several places. Tripping hazard in the bathroom. The mattress was sagging. What was also unpleasant was that we arrived at 5 p.m. and were told that there was no place left to eat. Although almost all the tables outside were empty, they couldn't even bring us two drinks.You can do it, but not for the price. Two people and two dogs for €152 for one night is definitely too much. There are accommodations in the area that actually offer services for much less money and, for example, have a sauna and, in particular, offer breakfast included (and not for an extra charge of €15 per person).A highlight is the bakery next door - good selection, nice terrace, very friendly staff, cheap.

Unfortunately the food was marginal. First of all, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The dark beer was also very well bought and tasty.Unfortunately the food was a disappointment. Fried fish, potato salad tastes like the one from the Metro bucket🤨. Asparagus soup also a mix of powder base and asparagus.The salad was good, but unfortunately the side dish was also a finished product.There should actually be another way.Maybe I should have just ordered bratwursts, you can't go wrong with that. Or the Schafferhof schnitzel with potatoes, so you know it's not a finished product.My criticism is only intended to contribute to the fact that you may offer less but that has 100% quality and taste. Sometimes less is more. And chopping a potato salad yourself isn't rocket science.

We were at the opening today and are simply thrilled. The old inn has a lot of charm and you feel like you have been transported back in time. The service is very attentive and courteous. Whether it's the terrace or the various guest rooms, everything has been prepared with great attention to detail.The food was simply good, seasonal and regional products, seasoned with fresh herbs. We'll be back...

My wife and I planned and had a huge festival for our wedding 💑 service location and atmosphere where all perfect 🥰!Great for solo/couple/Family!Edit: this place is under new Management, and not worth the trouble or time. 5 stars for the old Management wonderful job, @ new Management...........
