I stayed with the Bulin family for 4 days and was given a very friendly welcome. Breakfast very rich.I was completely satisfied.

Guest house in a quiet residential area, rooms a bit noisy and with 1970s charm. Room and bathroom very clean. Outside breakfast times, hosts can only be reached via intercom, but can be on site quickly if necessary. Parking limited to grass. Although the website says breakfast buffet, it is served. For personal reasons I had to leave early and had to pay for an extra night. I didn't think it was that great. I cannot understand the very high guest ratings. I think it's a guesthouse like any other.

Everything is so organized and considered that as a guest you just have to feel good! Everything very clean. Also theHosts were very nice andcourteous. The food and drinks are sufficient and varied.The location of the guest house is great, so you can get there straight awaycan start hiking.All in all, a wonderful place for oneshort or even for a longer oneStay in the Knappe guesthouseGladly again at any time!

Great value for money! Very friendly and helpful hosts. Personal atmosphere! 🙂Also ideal for self-caterers who don't want to eat out every evening. Microwave, dishes, cutlery, kettle and refrigerator are available.Safe storage for bicycles available!Thank you!

True to the motto “simple, warm, fits”. 🙂Well, the rooms have 70s charm, but are clean. But what was more important for me personally was the warmth of the Bulin family. Always a friendly, open word and perfect breakfast service. Highly recommended the homemade jams and cakes. Everything is within walking distance (okay, in Bad Steben everything is within walking distance per se 😉). If we actually wanted to go MTB there at a more pleasant time of year, then we would definitely come back there. 👍

Barbara MüllerJanuary 2024We have now been to the Knappe guesthouse for the third time, at large intervals. We were very satisfied again. The spacious room 3 with a large panoramic window and long balcony is particularly recommended for the warmer season. Rooms are very clean, the beds are comfortable and nothing is missing. The bathroom is very large, very clean and in very good shape despite the slightly older year of construction. When you come out of the thermal baths, there are lots of hooks in the bathroom to hang up your wet things. The rich breakfast, with fresh bakery rolls and fresh sausage from the butcher, leaves nothing to be desired. If you wish, it will be added accordingly. Since the Bulin family does everything themselves, there are nice conversations. Nevertheless, privacy is respected. We felt very comfortable in this family environment. It should be mentioned that you can reach the old town in 10 minutes on foot from the guest house. Everything that is shown in the house description on the Internet is fully fulfilled and exceeded. Thank you for the wonderful stay, dear Bulin family!

We went to Pension Knappe for the first time on the recommendation of my sister, who lives in Bad Steben. Were warmly welcomed by the Bulin family and well looked after in every respect and in all matters. The house is very centrally located, very quiet, and everything is within walking distance.We will recommend this at any time and will book here again and again.

I stayed there for four nights in June 2023 and was very satisfied. The house is centrally located and yet very quiet (no traffic noise). The rooms are spacious and clean. The breakfast was excellent and very plentiful. The hosts were very, very friendly and chatty. I can only recommend the Knappe guesthouse

The Knappe guesthouse is highly recommended. From the uncomplicated booking, to a stay where nothing is missing, to the stress-free "move out", everything is wonderful. The rooms are spacious, clean, the beds are comfortable and nothing is missing. The bathroom is very large, very clean and, despite the slightly older year of construction, is in top condition and very well maintained. There is also a lovingly furnished lounge and a refrigerator with delicious drinks. The rich breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. Since the Bulin family does everything themselves, there are nice conversations. Nevertheless, privacy is respected in all matters. We felt very comfortable in this family environment. It should also be mentioned that the guest house is within walking distance of the small old town, but is completely quiet. An absolute bonus. Thank you for the wonderful stay, dear Bulin family!
