On my Saale cycle path I found a small family-run guesthouse right on the Rennsteig. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The room was ok. and I took advantage of the dinner, which the boss prepared with a lot of love and was very tasty. The breakfast was portioned and sufficient. The boss was happy to fulfill any additional requests.If you arrive without a car, the train station is only approx. 100 m away.

We spent five days on the Franconian mountain path and started here. Our room and bathroom were very large and very clean. In the evening we were able to eat outside in the garden, we felt very comfortable. The hosts are very warm and try to fulfill every wish. Best accommodation of our trip. We would be happy to come back and can highly recommend the guesthouse.

This is not a luxury hotel, but the perfect starting point for my long-distance hike.Everything is very pleasant and familiar.I felt comfortable.Luckily it was pizza day. And the pizza was perfect too.Highly recommended.

I arrived with my shoes hanging on the pole after finishing the Rennsteig, I didn't know where I would sleep and I thought I'd ask the owners. without a reservation they found me a room with everything I needed to sleep and have some comfort after 160 km.Very kind and helpful owners. It is possible to have breakfast as there is a small bar set up inside.I was sorry to show up looking a little wild, but I couldn't do anything else.Thanks so much for everything!Mario der Wandersmann

We were able to experience a great overnight stay here at the end of the Rennsteig. The hosts are incredibly friendly, friendly and helpful. Vegetarian dishes are offered and freshly cooked with plenty of vegetables!!!Food and drink prices absolutely fair.Rooms are lovingly furnished. There was even a small drying rack for drying wet clothes.Location directly on the Rennsteig!

Very friendly and accommodating hosts. We felt very welcome. Our room had everything we needed to start our bike tour over the Rennsteig the next day. The dinner was home-cooked and super tasty.We were allowed to put our bikes in the garage.If we are in the area again, we would be happy to come back.

Perfect for the start or end of your Rennsteig / Kammweg walk. I stayed 2 nights after walking the Kammweg. Very relaxing. The B&B offers a set menu evening meal. I got to try Thuringia sausage with potato salad a traditional local meal. The second evening home made stone pizza. Dough made in the house and thin base stone oven baked. You get to choose from a wide selection of toppings. A good range of drinks for me it had to be wheat beer and red wine. Very clean. Fast WiFi in the cafe area where you are welcome to sit. The hosts are very welcoming and look after you in a homely way. I will definitely stay again if I choose one of the walks from Blankenstein.

My stay at the guesthouse was excellent. The rooms are very nice, clean and comfortably furnished. The breakfast was also very good and sufficient. In the evening you can also relax and enjoy a delicious wine or a beer in the lounge with bar. The nice hosts leave no wish unfulfilled and are super sweet and kind. We were warmly welcomed.My room (single room) was spacious, tidy and clean. The bathroom also had enough space and was clean👍. After dinner we were able to sit comfortably in the garden. All in all a very nice evening and a good night in the guesthouse.
