We had dinner twice with 10 people. Everything worked out great. The staff is super friendly and competent. The food was excellent. Price/performance is 100% right. Gladly again.

Staff friendly. The food, sauerbraten, was unfortunately far too sweet. The sauce was too thick, not a single raisin. Unfortunately, no red cabbage was received. The potatoes were very aldente. It's better to wait another five minutes and then serve it fully cooked. All in all, no wow experience. It used to be much better.

I was able to enjoy a great breakfast with my wife today.I just have to get rid of the fact that we haven't found such a good price/performance ratio for a long time.Lately we've only had the feeling in other cafés/restaurants that it's becoming more and more expensive, the quality is declining and less and less is being served. In your case it is absolutely the opposite, your service was also very good. You have given us back our faith in gastronomy!Thank you for that and please keep it up.We would be happy to come back and recommend you to others.

I went there skeptically and went home satisfied.Last week I arranged to meet a friend for dinner at Birkenhof. I was skeptical because of the negative reviews, but I don't agree with them at all.Our meal, rump steak with wild mushroom sauce and Hawaiian schnitzel, was very tasty and the meat was also well prepared. The restaurant was busy this lunchtime, estimated at 50-60 people, but that didn't mean a long wait for us. The service staff worked quickly and were very friendly, even having time for a short conversation when paying.I will happily recommend your restaurant.

We were there in a larger group for dinner on steak day. Except for 3 people, everyone ordered steak and some of them were satisfied. Two had cold meat and one had forgotten drinks twice. One wanted her meat English and got it medium. Apparently the meat didn't even appear in a pan because it was extremely pale. Up to this point you can say “complaining at a high level”. I ordered a salad for €12.50 and was given (placed next to each other) a handful of lettuce leaves, grated carrots, coleslaw that was so heavily seasoned that I couldn't taste any of the dressing, let alone the remaining vegetables, red cabbage salad, cucumber slices, peppers which were cut way too big, topped with the cheapest mozzarella sliced thinly and tomatoes, along with limp toast. As if you had quickly walked around the salad bar. It may sound outrageous now, but I've gotten more attractive salads (also visually) for less money in the kebab shop. On a previous visit I had ordered vegetables. For €15 you can get vegetables from a bag with ready-made hollandaise and boiled potatoes that just missed the salt. I didn't want to do that this time and thought, you can't go wrong with a salad, puff cake. I had eaten a little more than half of the salad because I'm not a fan of waste, but I had to leave the rest because the coleslaw was just way too dominant and I couldn't eat the rest. If you don't want to make an effort for vegetable lovers or people who don't feel like eating meat, or perhaps can't tolerate meat, then simply remove the "vegetarian dishes" from the menu.
