The rooms are clean but very, very small.In addition, as a student you are not allowed to use the elevators even if you live on the 5th or 6th floor. This means that you can walk up and down the stairs every morning, lunch and every evening. Furthermore, some of the staff are unfriendly and the security people are very negative.The food was okay and the tables and chairs were very clean, but it is always very noisy during meal times.Another problem at the youth hostel is the lack of understanding of what young people and other people of this age like to eat, so there are often dishes thrown together that have nothing to do with each other.

I would definitely avoid the houseboat. It is too small for the permitted capacity and, especially in the large rooms, individual guests suffer from the radical minimalism they are exposed to here. As is probably typical for JH, you have to do a lot yourself here, i.e. making up the beds, taking away bed linen and towels at the end and ensuring a certain level of basic cleanliness. It didn't seem particularly clean. The food is OK.Location is central and close to bus and train. But it takes a while to walk to the nearest supermarket.

These dirty parasites want a deposit for an 18th century vacuum cleaner. Glasses and trays are smeared with mashed potatoes and are not cleaned. I pay money for my stay and am supposed to clean and take out the trash myself. The only good thing was the good WiFi. No recommendation!

As a 74 year old, I went to a youth hostel for the first time with my son and grandson.The modern building, the clean rooms, the great location and especially the friendly staff are impressive.The buffet-style meals left nothing to be desired.I hope that despite my age I can visit this youth hostel a few more times.

Nice, central location.Upgrade, after the renovation we were only here for breakfast. The breakfast room has become very nice, it looks like a hotel. Very nice atmosphere.The buffet was nicely presented and was very good. Homemade jams!We were very satisfied. Breakfast is until 10 a.m. After breakfast we were upstairs on the terrace with a coffee. Wonderful, the view of the Weser.My photos were taken before the renovation.

I was in the youth hostel in Bremen on business. The location directly on the Weser is a real dream.I didn't stay overnight, I just used the seminar room and the catering options. Highly recommended!

The place is perfectly in the middle and yet remote. Directly on the Weser and quickly into the center along the promenade with great views. Everyone we saw made a satisfied impression, we ourselves enjoyed the breakfast, which was simple but everything that was needed with endless coffee, tea and juice. The buffet is from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. where you can eat inside or outside with a view of the Weser can sit

I actually just wanted to eat and drink something down at the Schirmanns. The three. We would have liked to eat a currywurst with fries or a bockwurst or a meatball or something normal. Exactly what I, or rather, what I mean by youth hostel from my childhood. Well the menu reads like a star restaurant with the usual organic charm...what a shame...Shoemaker stick to your lasts... too bad...Then they got up again and left.At his shop he also had Bockwurst meatballs and potato salad, etc. has.

Very new and modern youth hostel with very friendly staff.Diverse lunch menu (don't know if that's normal in DJH. The only thing that could be criticized here is that the menu makes no distinction between vegetarian and vegan dishes. Everything is marked with 🌱).

We spent one night there and loved it! Super nice room with a view of the water. Very friendly and cheerful staff. The food was also very good. We'll definitely be back because we really enjoyed it. :-)

The hostel is completely renovated,at hotel level, very modern and chic.Unfortunately, the youth hostel character has been lost.Although there are good quality games and a sufficient selection to rent, there is no separate games room for the children.Things like a table tennis table, table football or a billiards table are also missing, which is a shame.Unfortunately, there are no parking spaces belonging to the youth hostel, which means that you have to use a parking garage or another paid parking space nearby, or you have to look for a free parking space after unloading.All in all recommended, but...

Very nice newly renovated youth hostel. It's pretty centrally located, unfortunately there's hardly any parking nearby and if there is, it's very expensive! We will be back.

I was there last week and spontaneously ate the “spicy fries”. There were also various sauces and fries that were so good. Schirrmans also has its own beer and fruity soft drinks.Cool atmosphere, nice staff, worth trying.
