We were there on a public holiday and wanted to order coffee and cake. Occupancy was perhaps 40%.We weren't served for about 17 minutes. Guests who arrived after us had already placed their orders and we waitedStill. When asked whether we could also order at the counter, the only answer was: you see, there are only two of us and you can't order at the counter, you come to the table. It took another 10 minutes before someone came.The order then arrived again in an acceptable time frame. However, how could it be otherwise, both waffles we ordered did not come with the topics that were ordered.Summary: we probably had a very bad day and will prefer to choose another restaurant nearby in the future.

One star is still far too many. After twenty minutes, my husband got us a menu himself. The waitress probably saw this, but other people who came after us were still served. After five minutes my husband got angry and asked an older waitress when it would finally be our turn. She just looked indignant and unfriendly so we left. Not recommended this restaurant. 😡

Worst service I've ever experienced.When my mother asked who was the boss, she was hissed at and treated disrespectfully.We waited 45 minutes with a family of 10... believe it or not. We received neither menu nor service.Unbelievable...!!!!The very last!!! Pooh!!! Many other guests were also upset and left the restaurant at the same time.

Update as of October 30, 2022:One star is still too many, but unfortunately you have to give it, we wanted to enjoy the beautiful autumn day again today and spontaneously met up with 10 people here on the restaurant terrace, but that was probably a shot in the oven, we drew attention to us several times, but the extremely unfriendly service staff didn't care. After waiting for a good hour we were fed up, this would-be restaurant won't see us again.The food is ok, even if it is of a higher service station standard, but the ambience is better, the outside area also invites you to linger, but only if you don't let the nearby highway noise bother you, the service is friendly, the food is good served quickly.

The hotel is idyllically located above the rest stop, directly at the oldest German Teinkwasser dam. Very nice terrace with wind/noise protection to relax after a tour around the dam. The hotel is located in the direction of Dortmund at the A1 service area Remscheid, but can also be reached from the direction of Cologne via a motorable bridge. There are plenty of parking spaces and several charging stations for electric cars right next to the hotel. There is also a Remscheider Stadtwerke public transport stop from which you can reach the Remscfeider city area or the city center.

The food was very tasty, but unfortunately the service was a disaster. At first we were ignored. After asking twice, someone came and served us with a rather grim expression on their face and in an unfriendly manner. Every time we wanted another drink, we had to go to the counter and say that we wanted to order something else so that someone would come to the table again.

Not recommended .. Was there today .. had to wait a long time until someone came to the table... but no one came after I asked three times and the waitress didn't understand me properly. I said a little louder that I would really like a cola whereupon the waitress immediately yelled at me...very unfriendly...after I had to wait longer to order my food, I paid for my Coke and then finally left.

We've always been on the terrace to have a drink, so unfortunately we can't say anything about the "food". But the service has always been quick and very, very nice. The drinks, such as coffee and especially the iced coffee, are very tasty!

We ate in the restaurant today with friends (5 people). We got drinks pretty quickly, unfortunately we waited 15 minutes for menus - everyone was with other guests, whether the restaurant wasn't half full yet. Exactly as long on account. The food was delicious but you can only choose something at the salad buffet once. Whether we come again is still under discussion.
