Nicely located, quiet location. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are large and tidy. I was happy with the room except for the bed. I couldn't sleep well in the beds, although others may feel differently. Breakfast was okay, nothing to complain about. The outdoor area was also nice.

Excellent location surrounded by immense greenery and trees clean air temperature like August is around 24°/25° Excellent for those coming from Italy (40°). But the flaw is that the food is of poor quality Only mixed salad served with sauces and potatoes cooked in different ways sometimes they serve cut sausage served with tomato sauce. No variety of fruit only small apples and pears.Breakfast is better, at least there is the possibility of eating a little variety.I honestly don't know if I'll be back.

The lady at the reception tried very hard but was helplessly overwhelmed. The covered parking spaces for bicycles advertised on the homepage are not available. Bicycles must be parked outdoors in a fenced area next to the main entrance. It's a shame, we chose the JGH because it said there were 10 covered parking spaces for bicycles.

It was actually ok, except that I fell on my face because the ladder I climbed up so I could get on the bed was rocky. The food was ok, except that for me and my group and for the others the water tasted strange.

Went there last week and was really very disappointed. When I made my bed, dirty foreign socks came out of the edge of the bed. There were also disgusting stains on the blanket. There were also black permanent marker stains on the bed linen. View of the hostel is nice, but cleanliness is not the case there.

Typical youth hostel from the 80s. This urgently needs renovation. Staff very friendly! Location on the hill - sporty with a bike (7% gradient). Actually very quiet, but there is an approach path, so there is some aircraft noise. Food also classic JH. Very good football field. Overall, very good price-performance ratio!

We arrived by bike, the alpine location was unfortunately rather semi-optimal, but you definitely deserved the cold hop bowl when you arrived. We were shocked to discover at the second breakfast (on Whit Monday) that the best delicacies such as eggs and croissants had been saved compared to Sunday, and that on a public holiday!All in all, we were still able to spend a very nice weekend in the youth hostel.The only point that still needs to be addressed is that a common room could only be made available to us here in return for a payment of âŹ160, which could be achieved in other youth hostels at no extra charge.

A quietly located hostel with a great games room for all ages.Good tasty food.Lots of seating outside.Located by the forest.The rooms aren't huge, thoughExpedient.Large lockable parking space for bicycles.Car parking is possible depending on occupancy,become a bit problematic.But there are options.WiFi throughout the house. I was there with class on March 29th, everything was actually good except the beds are very uncomfortable, stone hard. The food there is good, actually not bad for vegans either. The machines can apparently only be used until 2 a.m. The staff are nice and correct. The thing with the beds definitely needs to be changed!!!!!!!!

There were stink bugs in the room, but this was pointed out on the doors.The breakfast was good.The rest tasted like it came from a can.The view from the rooms was very nice...But the best thing in general was the football field with artificial turf.There were a few strange stains on the ceiling in the rooms...The bathroom was very small but it was ok, except for the drain, which for some inexplicable reason had hair in it that wasn't ours.But for the price-performance ratio it was ok.The Edeka around the corner about 1 km awaywas good, but he didn't have any Pringles and the path went down steeply on the way out and up steeply on the way back, which was very annoying.The WiFi in the rooms didn't work and you could only use it for a maximum of 1 hour.When we arrived there were streaks of cock in the toilet which was very disgusting.The service was OK.

We felt very comfortable when we were with them at school. The service is also really great. In the evening Ms. Tanja Schrock was there who really took care of our needs. She was very, very friendly and always helpful when we had a concern.

Rooms were okay. Not much, but it's enough for a short time. My friend did a flip on a bed and the slatted frame broke and we have to pay 20. There were also a lot of junkies there and we were insulted several times and had sticks thrown at us. Send all the troublemakers out of there and I would like to start a group carom there again.

Partying with adults in the youth hostel, is that possible? That works!For New Year's Eve we booked the room with the most beautiful view of Essen-Werden and the Ruhr Valley, a terrace in front of it and a piece of lawn on which there was already a fire bowl filled with wood. We were allowed to decorate the room, arrange the furniture according to our needs and bring our own music.The house provided the pre-ordered gourmet grill package of the best quality, consisting of sausages, vegetarian sausages, bacon, lamb chops, turkey steak and vegetable skewers. As a side dish, couscous salad, mixed salad, pasta and potato salad, various sauces, herb butter and baguette, all very tasty, in generous quantities and attractively presented. The grill with charcoal and lighters was provided.We found the pre-ordered drinks in our own refrigerator.The prices for room rental, food and drinks are moderate.We were allowed to clean up and sweep out the next day.All employees were very friendly and helpful. A big compliment and thank you, we felt very comfortable and felt more like partying on Pastoratsberg.

Nice youth hostel. The rooms are okay and the food is very tasty. Unfortunately, there were pasta dishes in front of everyone. The landscape and the location are very beautiful, very comfortable, clean and the staff are friendly and flexible.

We say 1,000 THANKS to you for a great stay at the DJH!!!In a family room with 2 adults and 2 kids we have a total of âŹ69.80 INCLUDING breakfast.Rooms very spacious and clean. Great location in the middle of the forest. The many nice employees were particularly positive, especially Tanja, Andrea and Sylvia, who made our stay sweeter.We would love to come back đ©·đ§Ą!!!
