We were there in Leverkusen as part of our annual student friends meeting. Our room was spacious, we had our dogs with us👍🏼… The room was on the side facing the street, which is quite busy from early in the morning… (the only negative point). Breakfast top! Service very friendly, cleanliness👍🏼 Opposite the hotel you can go on various hikes on a charming path along the Dhünn.The food at the Postschänke is first class🔝

We ate in the gourmet restaurant here. The greeting seemed a bit frosty. We all enjoyed it excellently. Everything was prepared with attention to detail and we received excellent advice from the charming female waiter. However, we felt very comfortable with the food and would be happy to come back. We also found the food in the Postschänke very tasty. We found it very comfortable there.

I can absolutely agree with Roberto Rucola’s review. It is unfortunate that some guests cannot behave in a civilized manner and this should definitely be organized differently in the future.However, I don't want to make my otherwise fantastic rating dependent on that, because it was an all-round successful evening, especially thanks to our grill expert Louis, who not only happily put the most delicious dishes on our plates, but also impressed us with his funny and energetic manner entertained -> you can tell in every second the passion he feels for his work, which of course is also transmitted to us guests. Simply great!The rest of the service staff were always attentive, relaxed and extremely friendly.The side dishes - especially the green asparagus - were absolutely sensible additions to the barbecue evening.The location itself is also absolutely soothing as it makes you feel like you are on vacation, especially the moment when the roof was still opened.All in all, I can hardly wait to visit the restaurant again, but I don't have to wait long because the Bergische Genusstage are coming up and we'll be back there at the end of October.Absolute recommendation!

We attended the BBQ evening at the restaurant last Saturday and had a great evening. The food was extremely tasty and the drinks were perfectly matched. We really enjoyed the menu selection, from starters to dessert, and the plates were so beautifully presented that they were also a visual highlight. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive, so we were always well supplied with drinks and received excellent advice.The only downside was that we had to queue at the meat and side dish buffet for the main course. Unfortunately, due to different reservation times, there were waiting times as some guests went to the buffet several times while others had not yet been served. Better organization would have been desirable here.Apart from that, Chef Louis' meat creations were of excellent quality. He was also very entertaining that evening, which contributed significantly to us having a wonderful evening together.

We had a BBQ at the post office today. First of all, I would like to say that it was a lovely evening with good food and delicious drinks.Unfortunately I have to deduct at least one star:The selection of vegetables was sometimes very poor, the side dishes were replenished rather slowly and were therefore not calculated in sufficient quantities. The meat shop selection also represented a deficit in the calculation, but the chef at the grill was able to compensate for this with charm and possible alternatives.From our point of view, it was also problematic that the tables were reserved at different times and some tables were going to the BBQ buffet for the third time, while other tables, like ours, had not yet been able to serve themselves, according to the motto " the last two "the dogs". Perhaps some control over the guests by the staff would be advisable here.I hope that my contribution provides a suggestion for improvement and that I would then like to thank you for an evening despite the shortcomings, because even if the selection was limited, the quality left nothing to be desired. The meat is cooked to perfection, the vegetables are al dente, the wine is wonderfully fresh (rosé).

The hotel is central and parking spaces are available. The rooms are a bit old. The bathroom was even more modern. But everything was very clean. We were welcomed very nicely. The breakfast was also very good. A large selection of, tea, cereals, juices, egg, bacon and salmon. You could serve yourself, the rest was served at the table. We felt comfortable. Thanks!

I think in 3-4 years of traveling to Germany for work it was the first experience where I ate much better than in many Italian restaurants. Having said this truly excellent food, I would also add the pleasant experience of finding a waiter who speaks excellent Italian. Nice experience.

The restaurant "Zur Post" is a star restaurant of a special kind. There was nothing that wasn't presented satisfactorily on the plate. The only weak point for us was the main course. It was just too much after all the previous delicacies. Half of it, perhaps prepared a little differently, would have done the trick. This point was presented to the service staff calmly and matter-of-factly, which was also noted favorably. But the whole menu was simply great and worth every euro. The staff were very friendly and fortunately not as stiff as you would expect from a star restaurant.All you can say about the attached hotel is: The room was very nice, the bathroom was a bit small, but very clean. Breakfast was served and we were completely satisfied. See you next time.

A good colleague and I came to the Hotel zur Post on a snowy January evening to enjoy the vegetarian 6-course menu with wine accompaniment. We started off relaxed with a Kölsch at the Postschänke bar and then moved over to the fine dining restaurant for an aperitif, where we were treated to three independent amouse bouches shortly afterwards. The menu courses followed at an appropriate interval, all of which testified to the skill of the kitchen. The egg yolk braviolo was a bit too egg yolk-heavy for my palate, the cauliflower and carrot (now almost a classic in star vegetarian cuisine) were completely convincing. The menu was rounded off with sophisticated dessert variations that left completely empty plates and glasses. The wine accompaniment seemed balanced, but remained consistently white, which led to some gustatory dissonance for me as a red wine lover, especially with the carrot. Service is always friendly, courteous and attentive. All in all, an excellent experience that can be repeated.Hotel rooms pleasant (apparently there are classic rooms with older designs and newer ones, I had a newer one). Breakfast was served from the kitchen in plate form and is manageable.
