Wonderful old hotel. Modern bathroom and shower. Big bed with a nice view of the small park across the street. Breakfast was excellent with an attendant to make various coffee drinks. They will even make you cooked eggs if you ask for them. Great assortment of breads, cheeses, meats, fish and fruit. Finally, all of the staff were friendly and very helpful. The tiny bar is a great place to meet for a beer or glass of wine at the end of the day. The location is a 5 minute walk from the English Garden, which is well worth a visit.

I stayed at this hotel on two different occasions: first for Oktoberfest (6 nights), and then before the Munich Marathon (5 nights). Both stays were great. I don’t like staying in big hotel chains, so I always book relatively small hotels when possible. I visit Munich often (2-3 times a year), so I don’t need to look for another hotel anymore—this one is my favorite. I will definitely book this hotel again on my future visits. Here are the pros:1. The staff is friendly and helpful.2. The hotel is clean overall, including the rooms and other areas.3. The neighborhood is good and quiet, with several markets, cafes, and restaurants nearby.4. The location is great, close to two U3/U6 stations, making it easy to reach both Marienplatz and Olympiapark.5. The Oktoberfest grounds are accessible by metro, and if the weather is good, you can walk to the festival (40-45 minutes on foot). I walked to the festival almost every day.6. The Englischer Garten is just 3 minutes away. If you enjoy jogging in the morning, the Englischer Garten is perfect. Also, the Munich Half Marathon starts in the Englischer Garten, so it’s easy to reach the starting point on foot, and the half marathon ends at Olympiapark, making it convenient to return by metro from the finish line.7. The breakfast is OK.Cons:1. There wasn’t anything major, but I feel like I should mention something negative :) There was no minibar in my room.2. If you have small children or are traveling with a large family, the elevator is quite small. I usually take the stairs, even to the top floor (4th floor, I think).

We vacationed here as a family for the first time because we were invited to Oktoberfest. We stayed here 3 nights. We liked it very much. The breakfast in particular left nothing to be desired for us. There was seafood or white sausages as a highlight or pretzels and fresh rolls and croissants from the bakery. The friendly nature of the employees also made it very easy for us. Our room was large and spacious. The only small deduction is that there was no closet with enough ironing. That was a shame because the three of us collect quite a bit of clothing. There was a large TV with Netflix. Wow! When we are back in Munich, we will come back. Kind regards from Berlin from the Guzy family

Very, very friendly staff, beautiful, elegant rooms and excellent breakfast as well as pleasant crowd. Good price/performance ratio. As a Munich resident now living abroad, I can judge the situation to be perfect.
