We are repeat guests at the Birkenhof.Children can help feed the animals, put the rabbits and guinea pigs in the outdoor enclosure and back into the stable, pet the dogs and cats and go on guided hikes with the horses. Together we observed bats and kingfishers. The pond invites you to refresh yourself or go boating. There is also a playground, as well as a trampoline, table football and table tennis. It is particularly relaxing when several children vacation on the farm and spend time together. The large covered seating area invites you to chat and exchange excursion tips, but also to have a barbecue or eat pizza together (delivered by the pizzeria). There are shops in town, about 15 minutes on foot.We always enjoy the bread roll service and the peace and quiet and look forward to our time at the Birkenhof during the summer holidays.

Enjoy a wonderful holiday in the child-friendly Birkenhof Mitwitz. We stayed in apartment 3 for self-catering with bread roll service. The children have fun every day, are allowed to look after the animals such as ponies, rabbits, chickens etc. and have free access to the cats, Baloo the dog and the goats. My children were allowed to go on guided tours with the ponies with the daughter of the house. The children have fun every day on our own lake with a boat. Ms. Müller herself is a soul of a human being and rounds off a wonderful time, thank you very much for everything 🤗

We stayed at the Birkenhof for a week in the summer. We really liked it there. Our child had a lot of fun with the animals, with the other children on site, with nature and the pond with a boat. We parents were also able to relax well thanks to the excellent breakfast and the great sun terrace. The hospitality was excellent, breakfast left nothing to be desired, the rooms are clean and we slept well in the beds.

Very quiet holiday apartment. It's a bit old, it needs some renovation here and there, but overall it works well there. Very nice landlady. The apartments are clean and in good condition. If you want some peace and quiet and want to switch off for a while, you're in good hands here. There are 4 horses and a few chickens and a very lovely labrador Baloo who comes by every now and then. I deduct one star for the little things that could be even better. E.g. the lighting on the property at night and a bit of a decent overall impression. Thank you for the lovely time with you.

Very nice, idyllic farm with a few animals that the children enjoyed looking after. The rooms are simple but it is not a 5 star hotel. So completely sufficient and above all clean. We'll definitely come back. It was very nice, but unfortunately it was over too quickly.

The children were very happy. The owner responded to customer requests. Animals 3 guinea pigs. Children could pet and feed them. 7 rabbits. Children were able to look after the rabbits, which they were happy to do. Giants ran free in the yard. 3 cats Mailo proved to be child-friendly. Baloo the dog was also very fond of children. There were also 4 horses, two of which were ponies. Children could ride under supervision. However it is not well organized. The girls who look after the horses don't come by regularly and usually unannounced, which made planning very difficult for us. I will not recommend apartment number 3. Children's room was added. However, the window from the bathroom was not converted and leads directly into the children's room. This makes it difficult to ventilate and use the bathroom/toilet once the children are in bed. The ventilation shaft is too weak, which creates an unpleasant smell as soon as the windows are closed. The mattresses in the children's room should also be replaced. Kitchen is fully equipped. Television with satellite connection. WiFi is fast with a long range. Barbecue facilities available, everything well equipped. Campfire is also possible. Playground is in need of some renovation. Pond with 2 boats was also included. Several hiking trails start directly from the farm.

We spent a wonderful week at the Birkenhof with our 3-year-old daughter. The trampoline and the playground with swings, slides etc. are great for working out. The pond with the two boats is perfect for boating and swimming. And of course the most beautiful thing are the animals, which can be petted and played with at any time. The accommodation is clean and you feel completely at home. We would like to come back. The farm is highly recommended.

If you love rural life, you definitely have to come here. Pure nature.Very quiet, even in the morning... nothing stands in the way of sleeping in, despite the animals on the farm. You don't hear them.Homeowners are also very friendly and someone is always there if there are any questions.A few hundred meters further there are shopping opportunities.There are also some leisure activities on offer.I am with my daughter (13)here, and we both feel very comfortable.

For families with children who want to spend a holiday on the farm. Perfect, there are a few animals and a very nice dog. A small pond with two boats can be used. The breakfast is rich and good, we were satisfied. You don't need to expect too much from the accommodation, it's clean, it's just a holiday on the farm, so not everything is perfect. The hostess is a very nice woman.
