October 28th, 2023 I had an excellent meal here and had friendly service. The Schäufele cannot be beaten. Clear recommendation.Stopped here again on October 21st, 2024. For once it's not a Schäufele but a giant currywurst that deserves its name.

We were in the restaurant in the evening and drank the last beer 🍺 and wanted to go out for dinner the next evening, unfortunately it was a rest day. The service was very friendly.

The sat nav shows us the front of the hotel when we arrive but it was actually the back with the parking lot, so turn left three more times.I had previously announced that we would be traveling with a walker. No problem, you would have a room on the ground floor. Arrived and you looked at a sea of stairs. We went down to register, then up again and half a flight of stairs further and two more steps to the room, which is what we call barrier-free here. Unreasonable!We would be compensated in the morning with a nice breakfast and finally soft eggs for breakfast again. There were many drinks to choose from and cheese sausage, some in glasses, cereal and salad.The parking lot was free and large. There was a lounge, although it was getting old, and a drinks machine.It was enough for our purposes, apart from the annoyance with the stairs, the stay was good.

The Munich Hofbräu in Coburg is a great place to completely indulge in the enjoyment of beer!!!We were there on a very hot day, where instead of the schnitzel or the knuckle you prefer to have an ice-cold drink. And the summer gusset we just offered was a perfect fit!!!The young service team is on the ball and super nice!!! ✌🏻😎There is a small courtyard which serves as a beer garden. There really aren't that many seats there. But the house has enough seating inside.If we end up at the Hofbräu on a cooler day next time, we will also try something from the menu.

I have never been so disappointed after visiting a restaurant.When I first looked at the menu I noticed the expensive prices, theoretically not a problem if the food is good and sufficient. But when the small sauerbraten with dumpling and red cabbage was delivered, the low point of the evening was reached. Price-performance ratio 1/10, €15.90 for a dumpling (diameter 5cm) and two slices of sauerbraten (diameter 5cm, maximum height 0.5cm) and 30-50g red cabbage. After I ate €15.90 I was about 20% full, which was a shame. But the worst thing was the dumpling, colder than room temperature... how is that possible?!We were the only ones in the whole restaurant and the food wasn't even warm... impossible!I advise against this restaurant and I will never set foot there again.

I was very disappointed and am slowly afraid that our restaurants are going down the drain, a schnitzel for 17€ and the side dish extra, small children's schnitzel with a side dish for 16€, nothing special, just outrageous! I have to work for it too!!!!!!

We went there for dinner with 2 adults and a child. Unfortunately I can't share the 5 star reviews for the food. The food was of maximum commercial kitchen quality. The bratwursts were not properly fried and very greasy, as were the fried potatoes. The Franconian sauerbraten had little seasoning. We were there for the second time, but also the last time. We expected more based on the last reviews. The service was relatively quick due to the few tables being occupied. Quality / price?
