The 4* rating in this hotel is a little misleading. Upon initial check in, the front of house was not very friendly, professional or courteous. The rooms are nice, however the door doesn't fit the frame very well (big gap at the bottom of the door) and as a result the corridor noise is very loud in the rooms. Maybe we were just unlucky it was Halloween night and the clientele were more boisterous then normal. The location is a little daunting at night, down a shady back street however we didn't feel unsafe at all. The hotel is perfect for somewhere to lay your head down and explore the city....(approx 20 minute walk to train station) but a little pricey compared to other hotels in the area.Probably won't return here again

The hotel is really great! Great value for money. The location is also great, you can quickly walk to the main train station and also to the inner/old town. The rooms are very clean and modernly furnished. The staff is very friendly and helpful! I can recommend the hotel to anyone who wants to come to Munich.

if it was possible to put 0, I would. Service at such a low level, terrible. when I asked the people at the front desk to give me an extra dog bowl (even though I said I needed 2 bowls) the man just threw it at me on the ground.sound insulation 0comfort 0internet -5service 0my husband ordered a Hugo cocktail, then the bartender asked us how to make it, although this cocktail was on the menu))cleanliness in the room is a separate topic. it's just tin. do not recommend, never, to anyone.

nothing against the hotel itself, as we didn’t even make it to the room. The location is not safe and is GROSS. People sleeping on the streets and trash everywhere. We are hoping to get some sort of compensation from the hotel. We didn’t feel safe at all and left the place immediately.

The room was very clean but small for a superior room (paid for an upgrade). Sound proofing on the windows and blackout curtains good. However, one of the lights in the room didn't work, dressing gown missing and the cleaners in the morning are loud. Location is at the less refined end of town - so you get what you pay for.

The management and staff are very unprofessional. I got scammedI had a booking with them for 2 nights, i've paid my full stay before hand through booking.com, unfortunately my flight got delayed then cancelled last minute while i was at the airport which caused my whole trip to be cancelled, so i tried to contact the hotel to communicate my situation, for them to help with refund or at least partial refund sense i am not going to ve able to check-in or to use the room, the call center told me that they can't do anything and i should have waited until i check in before paying, i asked them to connect me to a manager or supervisor, and the call center guy told me from his experience the management would never agree to refund which shows that these cases have happened already a lot of times and they have always acted unprofessionally to similar situations.I tried to contact the management through email, they have replied to me that they don't agree to refund, where i've tried to negotiate at least a partial refund but they stopped replying to my emails and messages on booking.comI really feel like i got scammed just for paying a head to time without anticipating a flight cancellation, i've notified them about the 2nd night where they could easily give my room to another booking sense it was October fest also which would be in high demand for rooms but instead they have took the advantage of my situation and didn't want even to reply to my emails.I totally believe that they could've been more considerate to similar situations, but i guess they prefer to just take the money and then double book the room which would result in double the revenue for them.

We had a really pleasant stay at the Germania. The front desk staff were attentive, polite, and helpful. We arrived early so the room wasn't ready. They happily stored all our bags and gave us good recommendations for things to do in the area while waiting for our room.The room was clean and comfortable with no issues or problems.

Location is ok in the sense that is close to a central metro station. But it's a somewhat shady neighborhood, a lot of homeless and drunk people on the street. Close enough to the center.The room wasn't super clean and the floor was covered in this very fluffy carpet that looked gross and dirty. There were no slippers, so I sacrificed a pair of socks.The room smelled damp and there was little light (only a very sma window for natural light, and 3-4 lamps with poor light)You have a coffee machine and a bottle of water.
