Basically a rather below-average place with GDR charm that could be made more out of. Reception was rather moderately motivated. Small shop on site, it's too far to visit Jena on foot. Pitches between long-term campers, some of which were very overgrown. Unstable power connection, very improvised disposal for solid tanks! Sanitary facilities are outdated, but clean! Washing machine available. NO CARD PAYMENT, not even in the shop directly in front of the square.

We met there with the children to have a nice timeafternoon to have. But we were disappointed! The gentleman at the "reception" was very uncooperative and we had to walk aroundGo to sea and take your luggage, including grilled food, etc. carry. The infrastructure on the lake also makes you dream of times gone by.(Children's playground, children's pool) have seen better days.The footbridge into the lake would also have to be cut freebe.unkempt!The lake itself was full of algae, so swimming was unnecessary anyway. I don't have to go there again!

Actually pretty cool. I slept in a hut for 3 nights. 75 euros. Since the whole thing was very spontaneous because my transfer didn't work, I'm very grateful that the owner was so accommodating. He told me several hours before arrival that I hadn't paid and therefore my reservation was invalid, but at the last minute he gave me a good cabin near the campers I was there with. The hut had a refrigerator, otherwise very simple. 3 beds, a window, fly screen, curtain, trash can, table, chair. A bit like a prison cell, only nicer. The environment is very beautiful, there was a lot of water and nature. The animals really like it too. My fellow campers were a bit disappointed, to say it in an understatement, because they had ordered a large hut and there was no longer a stove there but the price remained the same. Overall, nice days, thank you for this.

A natural, simple, quiet, green campsite that offers everything you need. The sanitary facilities are clean and well maintained. Very friendly and accommodating operators. We'd love to come back.

Price-performance ratio is really great and the service is very friendly. I'd love to come back. Has authentic charm, like grandma and grandpa used to have in their allotment. ☺️

Friendly and nice lady at the reception. Quiet campsite with sunny and shady spots. Supply and disposal available. Also suitable for large motorhomes. Sanitary a bit outdated but clean and hot water. Only the areas could use a lawn mower and if the roses were a little cared for, how beautiful that would look.

We arrived spontaneously and managed to get a parking space at short notice. The greeting from the young man in unkempt jogging clothes wasn't the nicest. The square itself is surrounded by water all around. There is free choice of space, but the plots are very unkempt: not mowed and very uneven. The site is divided into different camping areas. The water supply is central; there is only one tap for each area, which is not drinking water. It's the same with electricity. A cable of at least 50m is required at the edge of the large camping area.The beer garden at the campsite, right on the water, should be positively mentioned. There are several types of beer as well as small snacks and the staff was very friendly and attentive. Next to the square there is a lake with a beautiful beach that is ideal for swimming. There is a path around the lake, it is very idyllic there.

I spent one night here at the campsite. Price-performance was good. Showers are included in the price and the sanitary area was clean. I got a quiet corner to camp.

Very sober and the operator doesn't think much of preservation. There are no functioning showers at the lake, broken play equipment and broken light poles with cables hanging out. Regardless of whether there is no electricity, something like that doesn't work. The old pool is collapsing and is a source of accidents for children.The food at the snack bar is good. Still a lot of open potential. The water quality is okay and you can rent boats.

So, we've been there for a week now. We had house 15.It's easier to write the positive:The house was very well equipped, everything you needed was there. It was also "clean". My wife works in the industry and has seen a few things where she was amazed that they left it like that. So be it. It was fine for me and the kids.Then the staff is very friendly. You can't complain, they have an open ear, they will give you things if something is missing in the house (bed linen) and if you asked, we were also given a parasol. Really goodThe beer garden is bomb. The nice lady who serves you is world class. We took them straight to our hearts (if you're reading this, the Eifeler with a banana wheat and a cherry wheat :)The food is also not overpriced and you can eat really well.Sooooo... now for the less pleasant thingI have 3 teenage children with me. You only have Wi-Fi at the front of the reception.Then the place itself... if you want to camp without children it's ok, but the children have nothing there. The lake (not bad at all by the way) was our salvation. There is no playground there or we didn't find one. Our children were the only ones there. So we didn't see any others. So this campsite is not child-friendly.At the front of the reception it also says "order bread rolls here" and when you ask or order you will be told that there is a bakery 3 km away and that they don't offer it at the moment. Not a problem per se, but then I won't put the sign out.All in all we were disappointed with this campsite.It's not for children, if the children have moved out and we can go on holiday without children then you could think about it.

For many years it has been a wonderful place for nudist swimming and other water sports. Swimming in the lake has recently been banned by the owner. Probably another step in order to be able to sell the water.The contract with the Anglerunion Jena e.V. has already been terminated. What’s next will be interesting!I would no longer recommend the campsite to anyone.

What a beautiful place!!! You are warmly welcomed and have a free choice of seating. There are several sanitary facilities, which were always very clean. Yes, and then the peace and landscape are priceless.It's a shame that the SHK is harassing the site operators with the bathing ban. You should be happy that the operator is so committed.In any case, we really liked it here and we will definitely come back.
