Accommodation booked as part of a family reunion, which is fine as a pure hostel for overnight stays, but there is no trace of the service as it appears on the internet. The inn actually isn't one, as neither food nor drinks could be seen on a menu. Thawed cakes and coffee billing after individual cups are served are no longer appropriate in 2020, sometimes this is reminiscent of the Mitropa times. Since the time before reunification, development at the Hoftor has stopped. The people in the inn itself are consistently nice villagers. The ambience and rooms are sometimes nice, but the services used, including coffee and cake, are not. The prices that are finally estimated are clearly not! appropriate for the area... it's not the state capital. I can simply recommend driving further to a place in this very attractive area and stopping off and spending the night in Bibra, where the price-performance ratio is the same, in contrast to the global metropolis Röttelmisch with 4 star prices. It is now time to hand over the scepter to the young generation, blessed with two trained chefs. Overall, absolutely not recommended, as all relationships between price and performance have been lost!

We celebrated my 70th birthday with my family (30) from October 12th to October 13th, 2019 at the holiday farm. Many thanks to Mrs. Schachtschabel for the great celebration.Negative opinions on the Internet cannot be understood.Highly recommended for celebrations of up to 40 people.Thank you, the Jörg Schmidt family.

Underground service! I can only advise against booking any rooms. Months later you get a response with missing information. Or no answer at all. Worst communication I have ever experienced from a “country hotel”.

The surroundings and the ensemble are really very beautiful, but I would not go to this accommodation again. The communication beforehand was very slow and sometimes emails were not replied to at all or only after repeated requests. We spent three nights there, breakfast was included. With other families we were friends with on site, we felt extremely fed up, because the breakfast was so tightly budgeted that there were no rolls left for me and another straggler, who didn't show up for breakfast until shortly after 9 one morning More bread was handed out with reluctance - there was enough there. The request for another pot of tea was only met with grumbling. An egg wasn't cooked for every guest, and when two guests from our group who hadn't received one yet asked for an egg, their request was met in a very unfriendly manner.A cold dinner was arranged for the evening of arrival - for five adults, one child over 10 years old, three children under 6 years old and one toddler. When we did the billing, we were blown away because 9 people were fully charged, even though the dinner wasn't particularly lavish (the rest of the travel provisions were eaten and there was nothing left). The killer in the billing: every 1 liter carafe of tap water for the children (they don't drink anything carbonated) was billed at 6 euros and was therefore more expensive than the corresponding amount of beer!We left behind a lot of sales this weekend by occupying several rooms with several families, so we would have liked to have been welcomed as paying guests. Unfortunately that wasn't the case.
